And i am feeling very grateful that I live in the UK! :(

I second this. Watching the news footage of the tsunami and a whirlpool that has been created :(:( It gives me chills, especially how the water is so relentless, unstoppable. Perhaps I should be gratful I live smack bang in the middle of the UK......
Lots of positive vibes to all the people affected xxxx

Very little happening here. Had to take DD to drs and it would appear that the rash DS had a couple of weeks ago isn't allergic reaction it's Slapped Cheeks Syndrome :( H is now developing a nice rash too so it's gone through all of us. Kids seem OK with it but it's given me arthritic type joints. Apart from my neck all my major joints are stiff, immobile and hands and feet slightly swollen  Can't move my wrists properly :(
This could last between 1-3 weeks according to NHS Direct website and 1 in 5 adults can suffer from re-occurring bouts of joint pain for several months, even years :eek: Here's being positive that I am not one of those 1 in 5!

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: at the big pants discussion. Belly warmers are not a good look for me so I prefer the hispter type lacy ones from La Senza :D Bit more to them than a G string ;)

And that is because the past is for reference not for residence xx
  • Another one stunned by the earthquake and tsunami footage on the tv - sort of brings things into perspective doesn't it.

Positive vibes for you and your dss Fantasia.

Slap cheek - oooh I remember that one well. I caught it from the kids when they were younger and was very poorly with extremely painful joints for a forthnight or so.

Back to knickers eh - well it wouldn't be the Matrix without our knicker discussions :rotfl:

The situation in Japan is terrifying isn't it - I had BBC News 24 on the computer almost constantly this morning, and have put it back on again this afternoon and am currently listening to Obama speaking about it - the US are sending aircraft carriers apparently - no chance of us being able to do that now as we don't have any!

Crickett I think if someone does follow a genuine religion like that, then fair enough, but I suspect they will potentially face being asked to prove it!

Just for the record, knickers here are either low-rise shorts or high legs. None of them particularly racy, but all of them now decent and non-grey since I chucked out all the elderly ones!

:rotfl::rotfl: the mysteries of of what women really talk about laid bare :D

A friend of mine shared this video on FB. It's fantasic and I sat watching with tears running down my face the whole time. Just made me very humble about the strength of love between two human beings.

Off to see the lovely Marru this morning :T:T

DS wants to bake a cake for my birthday on Monday so need to pop to Sainsbugs at some point, be a nice activity either this afternoon or tomorrow.

Hope you all have great Saturday, been re-reading some of the old Make Do and Mend threads, miss MG's breezy style of posting but also feeling inspired to get off my butt and sort out a few jobs I want to get done in the house. Typical the time I decide to get more motivated my body isn't in a position to oblige <rollseyes>

Anyway hope you all have a lovely positive Saturday :D

Oooh - I should have logged on this morning so I could have wished you a happy birthday or even rustle up a card,

Bitsy has just gone back home. She is wonderful so hoping to meet up again soon. :j

Off to take DD to see her dad shortly. I hope he behaves himself this time.

Anyone a potential short story writer??? Ever thought of entering a competition (go on, go on ... what have you got to lose???)

Thanks for this one, NL. I have forwarded it to Son Number Two and he will very likely enter.
