She' is so laid back she is horizontal and at the moment she has her head on my knee looking up at me with adoring brown eyes.
This was ABSOLUTELY the right decision, the right dog came at the right time so again to Cherisong, thank you is not enough, and neither is being grateful. There is nothing I could do to repay the encouragement and advice you gave me because it was beyond price, above rubies.:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j.
I think you a very wise lady and I couldn't have asked for a nicer catalyst, push, nudge or whatever its called.
Right thats enough of me waxing poetical. :oWell, I am already feeling very emotional and that tipped me over the edge, THANK YOU so much, I didnt really do anything, just happened to be in the right place at the right time for you to bounce off.

Aaawww, Fantasia your post got me in tears (not with the knicker post, the other one :rotfl:) So so lovely to hear that Leyla has arrived safely. I am at the same time thrilled for you and also terribly jealous.

    Me too!

Sorry I havent had time to read everything so far but wanted to say that I hope all of the poorlies feel better soon.

Sorry to hear of the losses. These kind of things bring our priorities into sharp focus.

My weekend was extremely productive and eventful. It was a large part of my 10 year goal.

Fantasia has been saying recently that I spurred her on to meet her dream. That got me thinking that I need to take a bit of my own advice. So with that in mind I have been proactively looking for ways to move my dream forward in order to live and work in Germany/Austria. This weekend was phase 1 of the big plan so I wasnt swanning around on holiday (although I will never complain about being in a beautiful place) I was putting things in place. I have a couple of things to follow up and I will share as and when I can but in the meantime I have lots of research to do.

Sorry if I missed anything news related but one thing I didnt miss was WEDDING - get our hats ladies, Congratulations Lara and how lovely and unusual your plans sound. So fitting that you can celebrate your big day in the way that suits you.

You did, without a doubt, I'm sorry if i made you howl, lol it wasn't my intention. But whatever I do now, because of your plain speaking I will have in my life an abundance of joy in Dane clothing (you'll know exactly what i mean). And I'm planning on applying what you said to other area's of my life as well. I hold myself back by prevaricating and not acting even on impulse. AM my own worst enemy sometimes lol. Things are changing, for the 1st time in a good few years, I have been pro-active and made something happen. Time to stop whining and start getting involved, even if I fail at least I know I will have tried.
You might think what you said was only a catalyst but it was powerful (had to be to make me move my tail).
So from now on its going to be "Do It" not "What If."

I soooooooo wish you well Cheri, that all your dreams and plans come to fruition. I wish you joy and all the things you wish for yourself to come to you.
Never underestimate the power of the catalyst, it was life changing.
Now please don't howl:rotfl:. You totally rock and thats official.

So sorry to hear of your losses robsmum, and souk :( How very sad for everyone :(

Cherisong, so exciting to hear you're progressing towards your goals! :T :T Looking forward to hearing all about it in the coming months xx

Pickle, I've made yogurt without a yogurt maker, it's really easy! Goes much thicker with milk powder in it, but absolutely fine without. Never made with a yogurt maker though

Had a :j :j :j moment today when I put Dr Daffs (well, my real name, of course :rotfl:) on an official work form :D:D:D Felt very chuffed with myself indeed - I think it'll take a while for the novelty to wear off :D

I felt the same when I qualified as an accountant. TMIF ACMA - wooo, that has a certain well deserved niceness about it :)

But... we worked hard to earn our pre-fixes and suffixes, so why not enjoy them I say :)

Thanks for all the yoghurt advice, guys. Am now wondering if you can make them flavoured (I mean more flavoured than just dunking some pieces of fruit in it)?

    Good morning

Ds1 is ill :( tummy bug, he is now fast asleep on the settee,

Was going to have a good clean through this morning, but going to have to wait till ds1 wakes to use the hoover.

I have done a load of washing and cleaned the kitchen swept and washed the floor, so that's something, Woke up this morning and my back wasn't so sore either so that's a good sign.

Think I will start upstairs and work my way down with the cleaning today, that way ds1 can have a good sleep and I still get stuff done.

  • Hello Ladies - end of my ten day "digital fast". Must just report in quick and then get caught up on what you have all been up to.

Email in-box: 965 emails received - actual ones that need a response - ten!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And NONE of those were horribly important. Have now spent some time unsubscribing to some lists to cut down on the electroic clutter.

I now resolve ONLY to look at email once per day - and not first thing in the morning either. I will look at it just after lunch and only them. That way I can concentrate on acheiving the most important thing every day first.

The same with surfing the net - I've timetabled myself two thirty minute periods - one for here and one for over there :D

The point of this short sharp shock was to audit how much time I wast being BUSY but not PRODUCTIVE IYSWIM. The Mentor who challenged me to do this alongside him had read "The Four Hour Work Week" and this was one of the things that caught our imagination.

So just in case you thought the Mentors were trying to isolate me from my mately peeps - not the case. just a short period of digital detox to get a look at reality.

The reality is we all have the same amount of hours in our lives and many varied and dfferent commitments and dreams. Saying "I haven't time" was becoming a catch-all excuse for me. The real reason progress stalled was that I was putting other things as a priority.

Todays number one task was to sort the emails etc - and now to go and organise my 43 folder ripple file.

Will report in later with my revised and practical plans

There's loads been happening here and over there.

Hear, hear, welcome back MG and sounds like a very sensible idea to limit online time, I always mean to but fail miserably, I think I'm addicted to this site!!
