    Thinking of you (((Marru)))

Bitsy that's a wonderful memorial, how thoughtful and touching. So sorry to those who have lost friends and loved ones recently.

  • I'd not caught up with the news about MSD - how sad for her family. She's been poorly for a very long while though hadn't she. I don't post often on OS (sometimes feels a bit like your face has to fit in some of the threads over there!) but do remember her very well from when I posted there more regularly.

Marru - positive vibes are revving up and getting ready to do their thing tomorrow! :D

  • Marru, hope it goes well for you today xx

The avatar is in memory of a lovely MSE poster called MoneysavingDiva who sadly died at the end of January rather unexpectantly after an operation. Lots of us on the OS board changed our avatars to purple stars in her memory as she always typed in purple.

    good morning peeps!

Not much going on today, just the usual housework etc but I am feeling positive and looking forward to having another play with the sewing machine. I need to sit and have a go without the comfort of my mum behind me otherwise everything I do will only happen when she's around. I want to have a go at making some fabric bunting as that seems fairly simple. Need to probably pop into Bham rag market again to pick our some nice fabrics......won't be next week as it's half term.

Anyway enough of my ramblings. Hope you all have good and productive days (even if it's sitting reading a book, to me that IS productive ;)). Lots of positive vibes to you all.

Hi, that is such a lovely thought.

Good luck with the sewing machine. I have mine in my little workroom and it's just sitting on my desk and I have a list of little things that I want to make but I think I am just scared in case I do it wrong. Which is ridiculous cos I am the only person who knows about it!! hahahaha! Got to sort me head out as well.

Hope all went well today for you Marru.

Whilst I no longer say that I dont have time to do things I admit to still not always having enough hours in the day to do everything I would like, I now just learn to let go the things that I dont get time to do, such as washing floors, ironing clothes, dusting, :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Only kidding!!
KC. I know what you mean about the common language of tv and ice breakers but I do watch some things on iplayer (last nights Masterchef is on the agenda tonight). The beauty is I can pick and choose what and when I watch. I still then have things to talk about with some people. Although I have now discovered how many closet radio 4 listeners there are :)

Well, Fantasia shamed me into taking some of my own straight talking and instead of always talking about moving to Germany/Austria I have set wheels in motion. So with any luck and a good wind following me I will make it there this year (even if only part time to start with). Like Triker I will share more when I have more to tell and certain things are in place

Oh My Lord Cherisong, what have I done?????????:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Seriously though, you will still 'be around' yeah..........!!!!!!!!!
Who else is going to kick me up the 'arris :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.
Joking aside, your council is wise if that makes sense.
Everyone else said I was mad (including OH) although they've all changed their minds after meeting Leyla.

You are totally right to follow your dream, and I have absolutely no doubt that it's right for you.................instinct and all that,
incidentally OH was in your neck of the woods today, delivering stuff.
Took him 5 hours and 22 mins via sat nav (more useless trivia).

Argh going off at tangents again.
What I really wanted to ask is could you PM the addy to Moo/Max's blog, I've lost it argh.
    Thank you

    Good evening

Sorry I went awol, but had a migraine from hell and ended up going to bed at 7.30 last night :( still niggling a bit today, but not as bad as it was yesterday. I couldn't move my head without feeling sick last night.

My neighbour has decided to go for a stall yesterday at the market, so took her to meet the owners this morning, and been helping to sort stuff out.

Thank you for all the kind wishes for tomorrow. I have taken whole day off from work instead of the intended half so that I can prepare in the morning and get organised. So now I can have a chilled out evening. Well as chilled out as it can be considering that DD (6 years) is now sulking in her room after having had a major tantrum. Oh dear...

Sorry Marru, I thought that it was today. I will be thinking of you tomorrow. Dont let DD stress you out, leave her to it and she will come around.

Marru - Grrr to tantrums, I wonder if she is picking up on your concerns about tomorrow though? Will be sending you positive thoughts that it goes the way you want it to tomorrow.

Dr Daffs - How wonderful does that sounds, and very well deserved after all your hard work :D

Cheri - Glad to hear you are putting things in motion to reach your dream, look forward to hearing more when the time is right to share

Bitsy - Lovely tribute to Diva from you all (But I also get confused when so many people have the same avatar!)

Claire - Hope the migraine is all gone now, they are so not fun :( A bad one usually makes me feel awful for a couple of days after.

Fantasia - More Leyla updates please :D

Triker - Looking forward to hearing more about your plans too

Sorry if I have missed anything/anyone! Positive thoughts to those that need them and those that don't think they do :)

Another one mia reporting back in - yesterday I slept 18 hours straight - midnight through to 6pm. I knew I was emotionally exhausted after disability employment meeting with ds but ye gods . Went to bed last night thinking that there was no way I would sleep - another 8 hours straight through 11pm - 7am. Back in a much better head-space now.

Marru - good luck for tomorrow, positive vibes coming your way.

Cheri - lovely to see you following your dream - make sure that they have good t'internet connections wherever you are planning so that we can keep up with your adventures.

Claire - hope your migraine eases soon.

    Love to all, Thriftyxxx
