  • Marru, will be thinking of you and sending positive vibes for tomorrow lunchtime.

Thrifty, you must have needed to rest very badly, that was some sleep. Hope that it has rejuvenated you.

Claire, Hugs. You seem to be getting a fair few migraines - is it someting you need to get checked out? It can't be very pleasant for you.

Dr Daffs eh. How cool is that?:j:j:j:j:j

Triker, nice to see you back - I am intrigued. Can't wait t hear about your plans and great news about DD.

    Cheri, how exciting!

Bitsy, I bought some "fat quarters" from Ebay, not quite as cheap as the market but I was able to get a good selection of smaller pieces if it is of any help.

I have an interview tomorrow so quite excited about that. Have spent a lovely day today visiting more old friends who I haven't seen for a while. Am certainly enjoying not being at work all the time.

Had a :j :j :j moment today when I put Dr Daffs (well, my real name, of course :rotfl:) on an official work form :D:D:D Felt very chuffed with myself indeed - I think it'll take a while for the novelty to wear off :D

It would take me quite literally a lifetime for that to wear off! ;):D

They are normally quite bearable and after a while go, but the one last night was terrible, the only thing I could do was go to bed, lights were too bright and i felt sick everytime I moved my head, it has been just a dull ache today.

KC. I know what you mean about the common language of tv and ice breakers but I do watch some things on iplayer (last nights Masterchef is on the agenda tonight). The beauty is I can pick and choose what and when I watch. I still then have things to talk about with some people. Although I have now discovered how many closet radio 4 listeners there are :)
Good point .... If I could figure out how to do that with my mum, when she stays, I might well let the licence go ...

Well, Fantasia shamed me into taking some of my own straight talking and instead of always talking about moving to Germany/Austria I have set wheels in motion. So with any luck and a good wind following me I will make it there this year (even if only part time to start with). Like Triker I will share more when I have more to tell and certain things are in place

Wow! That sounds exciting - keep us updated :j

    Maru, thinking of you today.

    Good morning

I am feeling sorry for myself today :( My friend and next door neighbours have got stalls in the indoor market, something I have always wanted to do, but at the moment unable to :( so I am quite jealous not in a nasty way, cause I've just helped next door with the deposit and solicitors fees so they can do it, plus dh is helping today to put boards up etc, so they can put stock in. Just wishing it was my stall they were doing out :(

There is one small stall left which I could fill easily with the stock I have here, was talking to dh this morning, he said he would love for me to do it too, as I have a year if I went on higher permitted work before I would have to come off benefits, but he knows I would not cope with my back being up there 6 days a week :( I did a few hours in my mates shop in the week, have been in agony since :( so I also know I wouldn't cope.

I am just going to have to be grateful that my mate is allowing me to display stuff, and next door said I can display in theirs too.

yeah I know it's positive and I'm not having to pay rent only commission, on what sells, so I haven't got the worry of not selling no rent, but my name is not above the door is it, which is what I have always wanted.

Never mind I will get over it.

Claire - just as a thought (and I'm sure you have!) but do you have little cards / business cards that can be put in the bag with the customers purchase(s) so they can buy direct from you next time? Possibly include a small discount?
