  • Thanks for all your good wishes folks

Lara - I'm so pleased for you - you'll have a wonderful day - & remember, if there's anything we can make/do for you - let us know - it'll be nice to "take part"

Still not cured & I'm not sure if I'm about to have another breakout so am on regular body checks (involving me lifting my top over my head & saying to DH - how do I look now? - he's scared :rotfl::rotfl:)

More pills are on hand in case though

:rotfl: CM :rotfl: You poor thing, sounds absolutely rotten :( Hope you're feeling better soon x

Lara, reception in a library sounds utterly fabulous!

Glad you're feeling a little better susan. Yesterday's sunshine was indeed fabulous wasn't it?

I had a grand old time last night, got all dressed up and went to see a friend's band in a most gorgeous late night book shop/cafe place that felt like someone's living room. Then went to a cocktail party :D

Another day of pottering here - I'm making a noticeboard, and will pop to see a friend later, and at some point will sit down with my goals list. One of my goals was to make sure me and Mr Daffs get at least one day out and one half day out together a month (a proper day out, not just a day at home), and 3 or 4 weekends away a year, so we're going to sit down with our diaries and plan today :j

Hope you all have a good one, whatever you're up to x

    Good morning

I have loads to do today, but I am too sore to do them :( so it is taking it easy today I think. I made some jewellery last night so will take pictures later, and I need to take pictures of beads to go on either the website or ebay.

sorted 2 loads of washing from tumble, put another load in and a load into the machine,

Its a horrid rainy day here :( very dark and dreary, mate has asked ds2 to do 10 mothers day cards for the shop, even gave him a pack of peeloffs to help, so I might sit and help him.

  • Afternoon all

Well all I can say is poor Mr Clootie :rotfl:

Lara - your wedding plans sound gorgeous :)

Take it easy Claire, Sue and any other poorlies out there.

Fantasia - got an email at 8:10 this morning, my flush is 56.5 miles away and halfway to its destination . Hope Leyla had a good night.

Well homemade beef pie, new pots and carrots for tea tonight, all prepped, ready for cooking. One load of ironing done - sshhh, don't ask how many more there are :rotfl:. DD is in an acting competition this afternoon, over 40 competitors - so she has been safely delivered to venue; we will be going over to watch her group in another hour or so. She's so nervous, poor thing.

Hi CM, don't post much but I had a bad reaction to penicillin and ended up in hospital. I don't want to worry you but I had breakouts for over 18 months, I researched on the net and apparently it,s quite common for this to happen but if you take the antihistamines as soon as you see the first sign, it stops any discomfort, hths

    Dear All,

I know I haven't been posting since the new year but I have been following all your antics, just in the background.

I think MG has been very brave to give up the internet for a week, I know how she feels. Due to my place of work we are not allowed to take mobiles on site. It is quite liberating knowing you are uncontactable (except for emergencies) and I have very quickly got used to it. I certainly focus on the day to day stuff more without any distractions.

I dont know how many of you remember me talking about applying for promotion and then getting the job at the end of last year. Well I officially started on the 04/01 and that is the main reason for my disappearence. The following week we got our ofsted notification (due to work situation again we get 4 weeks), so it has been a lot of graft, not just getting the new job but also making sure we are in the right place for the inspection. Now just got to wait for the report but I feel the team did the best they could and it now gives me a full year to make my mark and be the lead in the step forward we want to make.

So, I'm back with you guys and looking forward to a productive 2011.

    Sx

Well I know I was going to have an easy day, today, which I have untill half hour ago, then the mess got to me and I had to clean.

So kitchen has been scrubbed, just waiting to get the rest of the washing off the floor to wash the floor.
living room tidied, rug and floor hoovered and washed.
Done 3 loads of washing, sorted tumble out.

I have lengthened a necklace and made 4 mothers day cards

now I just need to clear the table off and hoover the dining room and wash floor

  • Proud Mum alert - dd (15) made it through to the final 8 of the acting competition :j:j:j. I had her crying tears of happiness on my left and dh crying tears of pride and whooping on my right :rotfl:. She was just sooooooo good, I was gobsmacked. There were a lot of over-acting actorrrrrssss present but her performance was understated, subtle and reduced the audience to that moment of silence before the applause starts. The adjudicator complimented her on reducing him to tears :D. So I'm one happy mummy tonight :D:D:D.

    Hope everyone is well, Thriftyxxx
