Ooh Clootie don't scratch!!!!
Too late Bitsy Beans
Clootie - Not sure if this will help in the short term but when I got chickenpox as an adult the only thing that stopped the itching was lying in the bathtub full of water
maty moo - Cool shower tonight but still wanted this to look red & ugly for doc
they weren't penicillin were they??
TFL - amoxicillan - so yes
Anyway good news is I was given strong anti histimines from doc & still look a bit scary & lumpy & feet still hurt like hell as they're still swollen but the itching has eased considerably
And as a wee aside - one of my aims on my 100 day challenge was to stop biting my nails - so glad I did this as my scratching was so much more effectiveDebts 07/12/2021

Has your doc prescribed a different anti-b (penicillin-free) for you? This should really be recorded on your medical notes for future (apparently 1:10 people are allergic to penicillin).
Currently tracking my flush - 2.17 miles and still going strong :eek:0 -
Eurythromycin for you from now on then CM
I had an allergic reaction to one when I was younger. I looked like a wee red monster. My wrist were swollen too. Yuck!
Still, you will feel better soon with the Piriton type things you have :0 xxx
Enjoy your cooling bath, and calomine if you need it xx0 -
OOh Clootie I swelled up like a baloon on penicillin!
Lara congrats!
No painting the town red tonight. Got Radio 2 on just now and off for a bath with a beer and some fudge in a bit. Rock n roll all XXX'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
Fantasia - thanks for the link (I think
) just tracking my flush now, done nearly 2 miles so far LOL
Claire - Well done on your sales
Clootie - Hope you look a little less red and lumpy todayI confess I do love a good scratch
No major plans for today, got another kids party to attend and the usual pottering round the house. Not very exciting but that's fine by me
Lots of positive vibes to you all. Not sure the weather is as nice as yesterday boo hiss, still it was nice to have that little bit of sunshine, even if it was just for one day.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

And the reason I'm not on for long - I NEED TO SCRATCH
bye folks
scratch scratch scratch aaaahhhhh
Sounds horrid, CM, hope it's easier this morning. Sounds as though you may need to avoid penicillin-type antibiotics in the future, though.ClootiesMum wrote: »And as a wee aside - one of my aims on my 100 day challenge was to stop biting my nails - so glad I did this as my scratching was so much more effective
Congratulations on being successful with this part of your challenge. :T:T:T
Slowly feeling a bit better. I'm still getting waves of feeling horrid and coughing fits but it's not as bad as it was. I was cross yesterday that I was ill as it was a glorious day and I had planned to spend it in the garden. Today is forecast to be wet so can't even potter outside. Hope we get some more sunshine next week.
One good thing yesterday - I made a small crochet basket in the Kirstie's Homemade Home book. I used a ball of string from Asda and died some of it blue for the top. I'm quite please with the result!

Thanks for the good wishes everyone
It has taken a long time to plan as we wanted to get somewhere cool for the budget we can afford. We're getting married at Queen Mary University which seems very apt for a perpetual student like me!! The reception will be in an old library, so lots of lovely old books around. The big things are all arranged apart from the entertainment, hoping that will be done soon.
Fantasia - delighted to see your lovely dog, she's gorgeous!!
Cheri, Clootie and Susan hope you feel better soon (((hugs))).:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0
