Was thinking about your stud-wall and plastering conundrum. Do you have a building college near you. If so could you go and make friends with the lecturers and offer your room for the lads to learn their skills (ooooooooo that sounds soooooo wrong :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: but you know what I mean, similar to when you get your hair cut by a trainee).
.
Local college is an Agricultural one - so OK for getting my tractor serviced :rotfl:
Think I'm going to have to look at borrowing a friendly joiner for a couple of hours to talk me through exactly what to do and then get busy.
The Universe will send a message soon - in the meantime I will clear the clutter out of the space ready to begin work.

Sometimes I think the patio would be the best place for him. At least then I could get my fair share of the bed.. At the moment, me and the 2 cats get a 6th each, he has half!
Did you speak to him in the manner which he deserved MG? Any further word on your mum?0 -
Cheers MG & boys - we had our haggis last night as OH is off working down Sarf today. 'Twas a veggie one so no beasties involved
Can recommend BBC 'Dig in' for free seeds, they are not available yet. I got them last year, they took a while to come but in plenty time for growing, there were carrots, courgettes, salad leaves, basil and french beans. They have a website http://www.bbc.co.uk/gardening/digin/ and also send emails about how to grow things and what to do next, recipes, hints, photos etc. Good for encouraging DSs & DDs0 -

Look on the freebie websites, particularly BBC's Dig In. I have had free veggie seeds from there for 2 years now and they've been really good. Is there anything in particular that DS1 needs for his garden?
I've used this too and there isnt anything on there as yet, keep checking back and have found zilch.
Claire how is DS doing with the greenhouse he got for Xmas, I remember you got loads of seeds from the site I posted, think they were 20p a packet then. Just wanted to say happy growing. Should keep him well interested for the season.0 -
