    thanks

But I don't know where the smell is coming from :( will it work If I just wash the floors with vinegar?

I would think that the vinegar in water will certainly help neutralise it so cant hurt to give it ago. What I described is if the cat has relieved itself on a carpet. Have a mate who is a vet and thats her advice. Will ask and get back to you.

Edit (not everyone has this)but shining an ultra violet torch at floors can locate pet urine stains.
  • My mate popped over as I was cooking dinner or the boys - good tme for a chat :rotfl:. She put her ipod on shuffle - and you know how I love random?

First song - Stand by Your Man (!!!!!!!!!!) but was definitely the attitude of my Mum n Aunties in the 70's.

Second - Independant Women - cue us bouncing around the kitchen like wallies. OK so we were cooking - but we were doing it in sparkly aprons and Hawian Lias. Strictly come dancing watch out!!!

Third - Mz Dynamite - Girl You Got to Put him out!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

The three ages of feminism !!!!:D

    Memorygirl

    Love it :T:T:T

We're about the same age MG and my mother is one where the 60's, feminism and women's lib may as well have not happened. Her attitude was you stood by your man and hid all the violence, neglect and poverty from the outside world - !!!!!!.

When my oh and I split up 12 years ago she told me it was shameful and a disgrace to be a divorced woman - !!!!!! it was 1998 . Her attitude was that a man was the head of the household, and a woman should be at home to bring up her children otherwise it would damage them. I was so brainwashed that I gave up work when ds was born - I lasted 10 months before I went back to work - she was scandalised :rotfl:. When ds son was diagnosed with Aspergers her answer was to put him into full-time care - get him out-of-sight out-of-mind.

Hard to believe her attitudes still exist in today's world - she should live in Victorian times:rotfl:

MG - not sure if you've tried this, or if they offer it in your area, but our school has organised a collection thing with bag2school.com and basically you get money per kg for your school of weighed bags of old clothing, bedding, shoes, belts etc. Might help your school a little?

The smell seems to have gone, the boys said they couldn't smell anything when they came home.

Still need to take the hoover back to argos and get to the post office and make tea, the boy's are starving :) so looks like the post officwe and Argos will have to wait till tomorrow.

Fantastic Bitzy, Well done :) Once I've cleaned and sorted my orders I will get the rest of the stuff on the website.

Thanks Claire, I can see how busy you've been so if it's too much pressure then please don't put yourself out :)
Bitsy - fantastic news :j:j:j. I joined MSE 2 years ago and (whispers quietly) with luck in another two years we will be debt & mortgage free.

Erm think I have a few more years to mortgage free, hmmmm perhaps I can convince H to read the tightwad gazette. I've always been keen to try and be uber thrifty but it might be a step too far for H :rotfl:

Her - a lady with a scarf from the Sultanate of Oman. She is very clever and driven. She is my PhD student and all will have to promis to be nice to her - Sharifa. Otherwise, I might need to use some connections MG does not even know I have...very nice people from the East of Europe.

BTW, my friend might be coming as well - but will see.
