Well done!!!

Aw bless you both. I know many people on still have debts (this is Debt Diaries board after all) and I don't want to rub peoples noses in it
The only annoying thing is we originally borrowed the money to buy a gorgeous Land Rover Defender which we had to sell when I had DS. All that money and only a rather naff Ford Mondeo to show for it (we've traded down a lot as our family grew)
But thank you all for your good wishes. I might set up a bank transfer each month to my ISA so I don't have the hassle of getting funds from one bank to another.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Massive Congratulations Bitsy, fantastic news, you should be Loud and Proud :T:T0

Souk - Stick the plug in, it stops stuff falling down there in the first place :rotfl:
Bitsy - Fantastic news about the loan, and a great idea to save it towards getting OH on a better career track :j:j:j
Gemmzie - Sending hugs, sorry it has been a bad day
Sorry to hear we have so many poorly bunnies still, sending out the healing vibes to you.

Bitsy, you're NOT rubbing anyone's nose in it! You've worked hard for that - and it's the same thing LOADS of people here are working towards, so it's encouraging and Very Cheery Indeed when someone gets there, gives everyone hope that they can too! :j :j So no guilty feelings young lady! <stern look>0

Hi all, apologies for not posting and contributing much...been a little low in mood and health and energy less.
Anyways, firstly, well done BitsyBeans...good job as the americans would say.
Gemmzie a huge hug, squishy, warm and with fresh deodorant on.
I did my first mind map last night, entitled MONEY.....:rotfl:.
Anyway managed to get 3 outstanding jobs done from it today...its like my brain would NOT LET IT GO...I had to get them done, so I'm quite chuffed with myself.
My DD2 (who has done MG's course) had a look and gave it a kind of nod of approval, she did say there was a lot on it.:rotfl:
I haven't yet been on the new website and I'm not sure of my old log in from the other one, so I'll just have to be content here for now.
I may do a Thanksgiving tea this week as I have a new American cookbook and am loving it...already made pulled pork, buffalo wings and blue cheese sauce and cheesecake....it was all delicious.
Hope everyone is warm and having a productive week. xxDFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Well done Bitsy and you should shout about it. After all I thought that was what the diaries were all about, support and working towards being debt free. You will inspire everyone else now. As for the landrover - well you know my thoughts on those - at least you can say that you had your dream, enjoyed it and moved on (psst OH is in the same position(mind you he also lived in Orkney then) and I dont help because I didnt know he used to own one before we got together and when I announced I was wanting one he turned white !)Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. H is unhappy in his current role and I am planning on saving the funds we were paying in case he decides to pursue a course privately that would cost circa £2K. Feeling like this is the right step in the direction for him and I am glad we are sort of debt free yay!
Congratulations Bitsy Beans - my hope for the next year is that we all follow you into the glorious world of DFW'ness.
Once up on a time i would have felt really jealous and though "Why her, why not me????" Now your news has put a spring in my step and a shine on my day, and the thought instead is "Yeah!!! I can do that too"
Wooooohoooooo!!!!!:j:j

I posted on the old thread about the largest Tesco in the Manchester/Stockport area as I need to source some out of stock online toys to use my vouchers up before the double exchange finishes
MatyMoo :A has kindly told me there are 7 Tesco Extra stores in the area does anyone know which is the biggest?
They are Gorton, Prestwich, East Didsbury, Failsworth, Middleton, Bagueley, Stockport.

PS My sister has safely met up with TDQ on the M1 services so more kits off to Herts:D
Excuse me for dropping in, everyone.
By coincidence, someone told me yesterday, the largest Tesco in the UK, is in Worsley, i think, a megastore? with another Tesco's planned for Leigh, which is set to be the largest on the Uk. I thought they were odd locations, for large stores, but i'm sure they will have done their research. But my ' source ' may have been wrong.
