I know I can't beleive it myself, many times I have looked on ebay and nearly bid on some and thought, I cannot justify paying that at the moment, If I want anything printed I'll go over the library. We went to PC World 2 weeks ago and nearly bought one £29.99 in the sale but they were out of stock , I'm glad they were now :)

Claire, my HP also uses these 2 carts. If you want I can send you 2 old carts for you to just buy an ink refilling kit ? I believe it works out cheaper.

    Where did today go to???????

Well DS2 had his first day of "school" - he marched in, took off his wellies, hung up his coat, came to me to get his slippers on, shook the Teachers hand "Good Morning" and beetled off into the room, pulled out a piece of material and sat down to work :eek:

Where was the tears?? the clinging to Mama???? the drama ?????

................ ungrateful little beggar :rotfl::rotfl: Home birth, no pain relief, Remember?????

DS1 is pleased to be back at work again and proudly showed the stuff we have been working on over the holidays ............ and Teacher agrees that we will all work together so that he can be homeschooled successfully should she not be with us in the future.

I intended to head to the library .............. but after I realised I wasn't wanted / needed by DS2 I headed out the door and realised I was out in the open air WITHOUT a little person in tow :T:T

So I walked, and walked and walked - for about 3 hours all over the lovely historic University Town, down to the sands, along the harbour, down by the golf courses, out to the castle. Its still snowly here - but warm enough walking.

Actually I think I have been quite depressed through all this bad weather, stuck at home, not earning etc. Being out in the fresh air and the "almost daylight" has lifted my mood hugely - I don' have that horrible "please leave me alone and let me hide under the duvet feeling".

So tomorrow - I'm going to walk again - but 90 minutes in the library and 90 minutes walking - make the most of my kid-free mornings.

....................... and please why did no-one remind me how organised you have to be to get everyone out of the door with the right things in the morning when you are not going to back again??

...................... and how you get home and run around like a mad thing sorting everything else out :D

So I've brought the potatoes into the kitchen for tomorrows shepherds pie and next days gnocchi. They can be pressure cooked and mashed before we go out in the morning. Cooked mince has been taken from the freezer and popped inthe bottom of the fridge in is oven dish. Big pot of veg soup is done so that I can heat up a flask full for my lunch (boys eat at school so thats a change). Raisin bread just taken from the oven - so breakfasts taken care of for boys, and .......................

..........I'm running an experiment with an Easi-yo yogurt maker after a suggestion on the OS thread.

    UHT semi-skimmed milk
    1/2 cup powdered milk
2tbsp Greek yogurt easi yo starter powder.

I will know at about 11 pm whether I have greek yogurt in the morning. Keep your fingers crossed.

Off to do a quick scoot around for a "Gourdie" handwriting book for DS1. He does elegant italic writing - but now wants somethig smoother and faster for taking and making notes.

Thanks for all those offering help and advice on homeschooling- I will be in touch from the library soon.

................. well 2011 is going to be interesting.
