Good evening,
I have been meaning to tell you for about a week now, my friends, but somehow it never seemed the right time. Remember sometime ago I mentioned that I was asked whether I would be willing to become an international fellow of Lund University so that colleagues there apply? Well they applied and I got it - so now I am a fellow of Lund University. The fellowship is for three years, it involves giving one seminar per year, and spending about a week in Sweden (hope that Swedish writers just have very developed imagination and Sweden is not full of serial killers, really).
I heard about this fellowship four hours after my dad passed away. We had a pact that he is not going to die before I get a professorship - he could not wait. But hey, Dad, I'll get there.

Ah FW, that's brilliant, bittersweet for you but amazing nonetheless.
MG, one of these days THE idea will come into your head and that will be it. Sending positive vibes that you come up with something that works brilliantly for you and yours soon X'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
