What she said! X'The road to a friends house is never long'0

Hello folks!
I hope you had a lovely Christmas. Hubby and I have just come out of a hibernation cycle, and chores in the house now beckon me. It was lovely doing nothing and reading and slobbing about, but it is time to sort stuff out and do stuff. We are trying to preserve the relaxed feeling but have normal life going on at the same time. Nothing too strenuous, but I do need to run hoovers around and dust and take bins out and clean floors and things. We have had a lovely time though - we celebrated 16 years since our firsat date yesterday. It hardly seems possible!
MG - I hope your chat with Mr Big went well. You are totally right to be telling them their model is not for you.All the very best with it. Let us know how it goes okay?
So plans for the rest of the week are; clean the house today and do some leftover cooking (turkey and ham pie for our tea, minced meat parcels, candied nuts etc). Tomorrow we are expecting a new fridge to be delivered, which I hope will be quieter and more effective than our current one whose compressor has packed up! Then Friday... we will be going out to a local garden centre and farm shop for a wander around.
To all of the Matrix members... Happy 2011."A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort"Herm Albright 1876-19440 -
Just a quick note to say I'm still lurking, but my internet doesn't like my laptop at the moment and had a manic time at work.
Hugs to anyone that needs them and congrats to Firewalker!

MG, I know you mentioned that you have got a Kindle - remember to check out this page on Amazon which draws together a lot of resources for free e-books.

Am at Edinburgh Airport doing major restructure of what feels like my entire life - and I've been here since ten. He flies out again at half-nine but will work with me till last minute ........................ so I promise to report back in tomorrow once I've got my boys back and put on the kettle.
All is good, btw. - but I bet they are regretting taking on a single mum now - LOL. They are really challenged by this - but with me all the way.
Thanks Mrs B - you are an angel for clearing the way

Go Mrs Big :j. Gosh that sounds like a long day and hard work but that progress is being made? You'll maybe need something stronger than the kettle can provide when you get back. I don't think you need to be apologetic for being a single mum or not wanting/able to go down the same road as the others who have been mentored. You are who you are and they obviously saw something in you that they wannted to support/invest in/facilitate/encourage/nurture etc etc. I suspect its a big learning curve for both sides and that is not a bad thing. Maybe the mentors are learning lots from this too? Lecture over, have a great Hogmany x0 -
Great news MG, looking forward to an update as this has been playing on my mind today
. I am glad that the mentors are behind you and that your situation is stretching them or making them think laterally - that is good.

Good morning Ladies of the Matrix,
just to note that there is a post on the Forum that needs our 15 min attention. If any members could have a look today we could end the year on a high and be ready for 2011.
