I think if it was just his autism it would be easier but this combined with his Tourettes, Dyspraxia and Auditory processing disorder makes things difficult for him. i don`t think he will function well socially as an adult as he has no clue about social rules and niceties etc. That makes me worry as I think all of this means he will be unlikely to have an independant life. I try not to look too far ahead as it is too scary:eek:
I like the idea of Borrowers but you're correct, I haven't mastered their rulebook yet! but you're correct, I haven't mastered their rulebook yet!
Autism on it's own is difficult enough but all the other stuff makes a nightmare for you. My brother was socialable enough but others had to make allowances for his lack of social skills. A school friend reminded me that he once turned up at my 12th birthday party in fancy dress. So, what she remembered of my party was my brother!! And he was expelled from the Boy Scouts too.
You do a great job, a job which many others would baulk at. :T:T0

Right back....Morning all......(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.
Yesterday was a bad day, OH was complaining about his guts again......I made him phone the Dr who came out to see him, no way can he go into the surgery. Dr thinks he may have picked up a virus, blimey he only walked rounf Aldi on Thirsday, mind you who knows what is on the trolley handle!!!
However........we have to send a smaole to the lab Monday.....till then its a case of wait and see.....
Thursday night I set the mouse trap again, yesterday morning there was no sign of it at all, its gone into the ether..........I just hope there is nothing in it that will start rotting!!! if so we will have to take the kick board off the sink unit and grovel in the muck.....eeeuuukkkkkk.....
I set the secong trap last night and there was a little body in it this morning....its back down ready for tonight.
Nasty morning damp and dreich.....will be lighting the stove later.....I was so tired and fed up last night I took myself off to bed, which I could just sleep straight through, I am not getting any real quality sleep waking every couple of hours or so.......
Nowt on today, think its too wet for OH to go out, will see if it clears in a bit.......maybe back later.....0

Creeps in suitable chastened, in my defence it was CIN day which means all our school bands were playing constantly & some of them can't tell the difference between talent & volume. OK I admit it I am a grumpy cow.
Right I've done all the shopping for tomorrow, everyone is arriving around 1ish, 6 adults, 5 children & 2 dogs, I've warned the neighbours so they can go out or retaliate.
WM & TD are both on, I need to vacuum round & then start cooking. Hubby will get the garden table & chairs in just before we go to bed tonight to give the chairs time to warm up & so everyone has somewhere to sit. I'm making leek & potato soup & corn chowder for my lunches next week, choc chip cookies, choc cheesecake, sausage rolls & scones for the visitors tomorrow & some to take to work on Monday.

Just bought OH's birthday present for him. The Ronnie Barker Ultimate Box Set....lets hope he likes it!
Just washed my hair in freezing water because i couldn't be bothered to wait for the water to heat up - stil don't know how to work the timer thingy on my hot water and heating.... So suitably chilly right now! The hair dryer will warm me up though!
OH is still at work, had hoped he'd be home by now, but never mind!Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

            Hiya everyone
Strange day here, very damp but sun suddenly makes an appearance, then goes again
NPH – that link takes me back, was mad on Monty Python in my youth, also they used to sing that song during party time at Pontins
Glad you had a good time Bitsy
Hester – I can be a grumpy old woman too when we go out for tea, last time we went to a carvery we had a delightful little lad whos parents thought it was ok for him to come and brummm brummm his car round our table while we were eating. They just kept smiling at us and saying oooh he is so friendly. I always took stuff for my kids, but they played at their OWN table lol.
So far to day I have cleared the ironing mountain, emptied DW and refilled, put a vat of Chilli in the slow cooker, only me eats it so guess I have enough now till the new year :rotfl: Was awake at 6 again and various points during the night, think I am just worried about my mum, but I really do need a good sleep
OH has rung, on his way home now, asked if I want to go to Matalan tomorrow, is it really sad that I am now looking forward to this outing?
I would really like to get a nice top to go with my jeans for when we go out for our xmas dinner at work. I do have a dress that I got from BHS last week, (in true MSE style it was 20% off with free delivery) but the others are not doing dresses. I am very short of clothes at the moment due to my weight loss, good as it is, it's not so good when you can't afford to replace the stuff that's too big :rotfl:
Enjoy the rest of your day everyone, cyas soon xxwhoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine

Lovely lie in this morning, I've only just got up.
Hubby bought me a lovely bunch of roses yesterday & then we had a lovely meal at the Carvery, much as I like kids I'm was beginning to wish they would divide the place into Children & no children areas. I had a boy & his mum on one side playing a game on their phones with all the associated noise & on the other side a family group with a very spoilt little girl who screeched & screeched unless she had everyones attention. Grumpy cow aren't I, but I could take my children to eat out & they were always well behaved & my grandchildren are also well behaved. Now I expect a lot of noise, chatter & laughter from children, but the constant 'I want & look at MEEEEE, in ever rising volume & octaves was very irritating.
Plans for today include prepping food for 11 guest plus me & the Minder & some housework, also some knitting in the evening, I'm still on the green scarf as I didn't get any knitting done as hubby & I celebrated in our usual fashion after our meal, we did wait till we got home as we didn't want to get arrested!
 Have a good day everyone.
 Hugs Hester
Have I missed something?Really sorry if I have. What are we celebrating? xxxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0
