I didn't get any knitting done as hubby & I celebrated in our usual fashion after our meal, we did wait till we got home as we didn't want to get arrested!

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
My DS was given an adjusted IQ test a while ago and his was 167 which was in genius levels. i think that is partly why he has so many probs accepting the Autism and tourettes etc. Very intelligent but he is unable to function in a mainstream manner bless him.

Well done that brainy Noah. Mind you how many genius function like neuro-typical anyway ;)

    Morning my lovelies :D

Had a FANTASTIC night at the concert. Fog was horrendous and due to the distance my friend had to travel she didn't pick me up til 7.45  The car park I normally use at NEC was shut so we had to go into the main complex, it was dense fog and poorly signposted. Finally found where we needed to park, got let through a couple of barriers and parked right next to the Arena :T Didn't have to pay parkiing charges either :T Sat down with 10 mins to spare before the concert started.
5191701936_c3f072cea4_m.jpg I tell you what Morten can't 'alf sing. Not a single bum note all night and he can get the high ones!

Now I've bored you rigid I shall move onto OS. Want to get some baking done, do a bit of housework, tons of ironing to do. Cat is supposed be coming today but people haven't rung me to confirm when. I am getting close to telling them where to stick it :o I mean they're not exactly busting a gut to make sure their cats are re-homed........
Damp and foggy here, which I quite like :o

Hugs spoons and high fives all round. Have a good day OS or not.

  • Cheers NPM, my boys are running around the house screaming I like traffic lights :rotfl: maybe Hester will tell us the next time she is going to the carvery and I'll nip down, and bring the entertainment;)

Cold here this morning, I am grumpy Jackie today :( Just getting sorted to take DD2 to football, which I can see far enough, but he's my boy and I love him, so I need to go. Nothing much planned for the rest of the day, washing, cooking, cleaning, will cut his hair too I think, and finish my sister's scarf.

    Hugs all round.

Morning folks - I had a little lie-in :j usually I can't sleep past 6.00a.m. but today it was about 8.30a.m. Didn't even get to listen to my favourite radio programme 'Old Harry's Game' (repeated for the umpteenth time!) at 11.00p.m. so must have zonked out.

There's plenty of food in the fridge and freezer so may postpone shopping until Monday (another :j)

Last night I noticed that there were piles of stuff around the living room, on the end of both sofas, on the floor and on the desk. Just little mounds of stuff. So I began to demolish these little piles of stuff and the majority of it was dumped in the bin. Why do little piles of stuff appear? Fairys? Mice? The Borrowers?

Actually it's difficult to not believe in the Borrowers in this place. If I've lost something I always ask, out loud, for it to be put back and mostly it reappears later. (I know it's just me not looking properly but it makes me feel better about being a numpty!)

NPM - my late brother had Aspergers and made the rest of the family's life very difficult all his days. Including 2 wives and 4 children. We didn't have any diagnoses until he was well into adulthood! Luckily he was at the high-achieving end, articulate and sociable, although unable to relate to people or their feelings. He had his obsessions too which, as a child were infuriating, and as an adult he channelled successfully into his career. Life can be very miserable with someone like this, though he did have some high spots too. I send you some 'wrap-around-yourself-kind-thoughts-and-hugs'.

Right, off to get ready for Time Team, need to be showered and breakfasted before 09.30a.m. and then will be doing 3 pieces of work () in front of the TV.

    Happy Saturday to everyone.

Under stairs is cleared out ready for kitty litter tray that H has to get down from the loft. Need to get a bed and some litter stuff and some food so perhaps you could say no :o But then again if they'd have bothered to confirm what they are actually doing then perhaps I'd have pulled my finger out more to have a bed ready etc.

Hope she comes today as she's currently housed with 3 semi feral kittens and she's picking up habits :eek:

  • Gers that must have been very difficult for everyone to deal with. They do tend to want everything run by their rules which can be infuriating...certainly thats how it goes in this house;)
I think if it was just his autism it would be easier but this combined with his Tourettes, Dyspraxia and Auditory processing disorder makes things difficult for him. i don`t think he will function well socially as an adult as he has no clue about social rules and niceties etc. That makes me worry as I think all of this means he will be unlikely to have an independant life. I try not to look too far ahead as it is too scary:eek:

    Morning all,

Been up a while but just been pottering around, first wash of the day has almost finished another two to follow, its looking a bit grey here, but will hang it out as its meant to be brightening up later on.

I went to town yesterday, and amongst other things I got my dad a present to give to my mum today, its her birthday and he asked me ages ago to get something, I got 12 red roses and a huge box of chocs from marks, sneaked them into mums house, called dad over to show him, and he told me off for being out too long :rotfl:anyhoo he asked my dd to write the card for him, and then hid them, god only knows if we will ever find them again, but the thought was there :D

Also went in poundland yesterday, which is new to our town, I must say I am very impressed, they had 3 good quality T-towels for £1 got 2 of these, a box of chocs and a mens shower set for dd's dad, some more xmas chocs 2 for £1 :T oh and my friends dd's birthday pressie, body spray and lotion.

Will nip up and see mum later on, I have her a night dress and a book of memories about the war, written by a midwife. Need to get the hounds out for a good walk too.

I went to get the gamon out of the freezer yesterday for tonights dinner and could not find it, I searched and searched, finally pulled the receipt out and I had not ordered it :rotfl:so I will need to nip up to the cheap food shop and get one, its a bit like Lidl but an independent store, and they have such fab bargains.

Ok better get on, have good days all xxx

NPM - there is always hope for the future - I know as my own DS is coping with work and a relationship now - things we thought impossible during his childhood and a friends son diagnosed with autism and epilepsy who went to a special school is now living independantly with a young lady in their own home, something his Mum never thought would happen. :)
    Do what you love :happyhear
