Hi I have been waiting for cashback from Vodafone through topcashback.co.uk for 6 months now I was just wondering if anyone else was experiencing the same problem
Short answer is "Yes" - and lots of people, some for 12 months.
I started a thread here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2579583. I am pleased to say that I got in touch with one of Vodafone's paying agents and their MD sorted out my case as a one off.
The way it seems to work is that Vodafone use 3rd parties to settle with referral sites such as Top Cash and Quidco. One of their main agents went bust (How can they go bust when they were being paid a fee to process Vodafone cashbacks beats me !)
No, whether Vodafone are not sending the settlement money to the 3rd parties or what, I don't know, but there are hundreds if not more people like you waiting on their cash.
Quidco didn't want to know. They refused to downgrade Vodafone's rating from "FAST" to anything else and that misleads all Quidco customers.
Keep on at Topcash. Ask them for the names and email addresses of the 3rd parties Vodafone use to settle with them and just keep on and on till they get fed up.0 -

No point asking Vodafone - its down to Quidco to chase.
There is a quidco rep on this forum you could try to contact http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=39410976&postcount=17610 -
What is most irritating about the Quidco/Vodafone saga is that neither company wants to take responsibility or, indeed, come clean about this sad affair.
Vodafone used 2 associates to pay cashbacks, I believe. One of them, DGM went bust last year - see http://www.quidco.com/blog/?p=399
So, first of all, contact Quidco as suggested in the URL and determine if your money is tied up in the DGM mess. If not, then where is it?
Since July, the airwaves seem to have been silent about things and what is happening. Quidco still classify Vodafone as "FAST" trackers and payers, and dealing with Quidco Customer Services via email exchange only results in a script reply. Why don't these companies realise that keeping their customers informed and up to speed is good customer relations.
Quidco can easily identify who is owed money from Vodafone and, en masse keep people up to date, (They were able to do that when they had the boob with Nationwide E-Bond).
I suggest that there is no harm done in emailing the Chief Exec of Vodafone and politely making him aware of this situation and asking him for the planned resolution. Also, if you can do it, the chief exec of Quidco and Topcash, if anyone has their email addresses.
After all, you took out the contract in good faith and it is not your fault that Vodafone or Quidco chose financially insecure middlemen who went bust if it was DGM or incredibly slow middle men if it was the other crew.0 -
Wouldn't the right course of action for anyone owed money is to pursue Quidco (probably via small claims court) - who in turn are waiting for money from DGM. Vodafone should not have to pay out twice imho ... if they have already paid DGM.0

Depends upon if DGM were acting as Vodafone's agents or as Quidco's. If the former, then Quidco are awaiting payment from Vodafone and that is covered in their t&c.
Interesting to see from the link I provided that Topcash decided to pay out all DGM affected claims - so OP may want to check this through Topcash.
My outstanding claim that took over 8 months to settle was, in fact, being handled by another intermediary and I received no explanation why this took so long and it was only because another MSE member gave me a contact at that intermediary that I was able to bump my claim up the queue.

Hi Rs82uk,
Thank you for your query.
If a contract is taken out through a third party company like Quidco and a cash-back deal is offered then it would need to be followed up through them. The offers are independent from us and therefore, we have no control over them.
Hope this helps, and thanks again.

That may very well be the case, but MSE members who use these cashback sites would be better informed if they knew exactly what the chain is. Why, for example, are 3rd parties like DGM involved and who appoints them - Quidco or traders like Vodafone. If one goes bust holding money from companies such as Vodafone, etc, then are thet at that point agents of Vodafone or Quidco?
The point is that companies such as Vodafone offer commission to the Quidcos of this world to induce their members to take out contracts. If Vodafone then settle with Quidco, then they have discharged their part of the bargain and it is Quidco who are in default. But if DGM were paid by Vodafone to pass on money to the cashback sites, that is another matter altogether.
If you are able to clarify anything on this relationship, then that would be a help.0
