  • Had a good day today.

Cooked some more of the bargain scone mix as it went down so well the other day.

Made the kids their favourite pasta bake and bread and butter pudding for tea. Made a mahoosive pot of mashed potato which I and DH had with liver and bacon from the freezer (from previous batch cooking). Some more of the potato has gone on a cottage pie (the mince has been bulked out with lentils, oats, carrots etc in the sc all day) for tomorrow's tea as I am working day and evening shifts tomorrow and the last of the bulked mince will be made into mulligatawny soup for DH!! Phew!! Still have about half of the mash left which I have frozen, think I got carried away peeling the spuds whilst listening to Take That!!:rotfl::rotfl:

    More ebaying done:T

Have started my Xmas 2011 savings, £2 coins as usual and have started a 'slummy jar' for anything other than £1 coins which I have started with my tips money (kept the notes for xmas). Things are gonna be tight this year as I am determined to pay off what I can so I will need too be strict with myself and save what I can where ever I can. I figure if I have only got £1 coins or notes in my purse I might think twice before spending any. I will see how this works in reality:rotfl:

Had a lovely night out last night and didn't spend too much as drinks were cheap and we shared a cab. Was nice to be out with DH, we really don't do enough just the two of us, with 3 kids we are always busy with one or other of them!

    Have a great evening

  • Had a good couple of days, payday today so bank account looks healthy for today. Need to go and work out my budget for the month.

Got the 600ml tubs of double cream in Morrisons last night for 15p so making some lovely homemade icecream for christmas. YUM!!:p

Ebay going well, up to £30+ with 3-8 days still to go on items, really pleased. Got 20+ watchers on some items so hopefully will have a bit of a bidding war.:T

DH and I ate left over cottage pie for dinner and the kids had bagel pizzas, cost pennies but they love them (reduced bagels, reduced pepperoni, cheese on special offer).

Spent £27 in Morrisons tonight but got loads of reduced meat, bottle of whisky (for the icecream and hot toddys!). Apart from fresh fruit & veg, bread and milk should be ok until christmas now (need to menu plan), in fact we need to clear out the freezer so that I can fill it with lots of homemade goodies, profiteroles, mince pies quiche etc for all the visitors we will no doubt get over Xmas and New Year.

  • Sounds like your well organised 321, going to start christmas baking this weekend, need to make mince pies, sticky toffee puds and profiteroles.

Well done with ebay, sounds like your going to make quite a bit and just in time for christmas.
  • Hi 321

Well done with all your Ebaying, looks like you will be able to pocket a few more pennies soon :j I really need to get cracking with Ebay, but realistically I won't be starting till Jan, I've got really behind with Christmas and the flat needs sorting! What kind of things do you sell? I have lots of clothes to get rid of but I know they don't go for much, thinking of doing some in bulk, what do you think?

  • Feeling totally and utterly SICK today, just wanna curl up and cry but I can't cos I'm at work:(

We all had to re-apply for our jobs earlier in the year, with the process finished in May, 3 very stressful months. I ended up taking a paycut and a drop in hours. Have just found out today that we are going to have to go through the process all over again, starting next Tuesday. I think it is appauling that they can put the staff through this twice in under a year, and just before Christmas too. It would serve them right if we all got signed off with stress!!!

That's all I have to say today, will hopefully be back tomorrow in a more positive frame of mind!

    G'night all

  • 321 sorry work is carp for you at hte moment, sending you big hugs.
  • Thanks PWPS, the sad thing is we have a really good little team here and we all enjoy our jobs. This could mean that we have to 'battle' each other to keep a job and ruin the team spirit and morale. We have just got back to normal after the last consultation period.:(

  • Hi, just come across your diary. I hope everything sorts itself out at work for you.

You sound super organised with the sc recipes. Maybe this is something I should be thinking about getting. I hate cooking when I come home from work. Can you just switch it on in the morning and then leave it on all day?
