on the list for today.. change addresses with some more places.. try tidy dining table and kitchen, mobility wise I am having a bad day, i basically drag my right leg now, very very sore and uncomfortable.
My dad arrived at 9am with some Christmas pressies I had stashed in my old bedroom in October so I have wrapping to do for kids and the usual adult gifts. thankfully I opted for alcohol in most cases so nice square boxes.
cooking wise I have a cumberland pie in the fridge I prepped last night that just needs put in the oven, kids can have chicken nuggets for lunch. I need to take some stuff out the freezer like the turkey!! and see how soon I can make cranberry sauce. I have some kilner jars so I was hoping I could maybe jar and friday it tonight until saturday. I also need to look at doing something with butter to make it look fancy for the soup rolls.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -

i was just thinking i wonder if you could put butter into fancy shaped ice cube trays? Not something i have tried before.
Good luck today. I think we all need it. Christmas is mainly about kids but they make it such hard work don't they.0 -
Are you going to freeze the butter? Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

Not sure GFH. my freezer is -20 degrees, fridge 3 degrees. I have a block of unsalted butter but no rectangle butter dish just some little round ramkins. fancied making something different rather than having just an open block on the table.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000

Try it Lilac. For me, please
That would look brill if it worked. I bet if you left it out and softened it and then pushed it in, smoothed it with a knife and then chilled it would work.
I am so easily pleased. I think i might finally be getting a bit excited, or the 3 glasses of wine and half box of matchmakers might be working. You are mad cooking for so many with all you have going on. Hope it all goes well xx0 -
Aw, make the chickens instead, they are SO cute
Merry Christmas all :santa2:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

The chickens are very very cute. right the butter is out the fridge softening, silicon mould has been washed in hot soapy water and is currently in the fast chill drawer ofthe fridge.
MSE Christmas in a way this year, DH works for a catering supply company and they were all given a 3kg turkey crown and 45 tins of lager as a 'christmas bonus'. I don't think we will be buying alcohol until about July as he got a case of 15 bottles from a friend last week for his birthday and he doesn't really drink.
These pregnancy hormones are getting to me, last night I put garlic cloves, rosemary, olive oil, quartered shallots and halved chanteny carrots in a bag to marinade and infuse for being roasted tomorrow plus made cranberry sauce. The day before I made cheese straws, cherry cake and shortbread for nibbles. My dad who has been acting as my gofor keeps shaking his head and saying your gran would be so proud, your gran would of loved this house, and it keeps making me cry. She died 18 years ago she was young but was ill for a long time as was a heavy smoker and her lungs were shot to bits so its not like this is the first year without her so WTH am i crying...
Merry christmas and a successful 2011 to us all. xxMF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000
