I eventually got out just after midnight today. totally wiped out and if i'm honest terrified. They have said there is no way baby is staying put until 40 weeks question now is how close to 40 weeks do I get. :( I am no longer Mrs cool and laid back.. I have under 7 weeks until EDD which I am apparently not reaching so :eek: I am freaking out oh and men being men my husband useful quest:eek:ion today was 'do you think i should set my scaletrix set up in the loft this weekend?

Yesterday was a bit interesting... firstly refund came through for solicitor which was the difference between mortgage repepton cost and the estimated part £394.16 which OH shoved in the bank on way to hospital to see me, thats a big + for us as this month was looking tight. Solicitor and us bank at same bank so the cheque actually cleared this morning. Negitive points £3.60 to park in the hospital,, almost £7 on coffees/sandwiches/newspapers for the 14 hours I was there. Mostly it was to buy OH an evening meal beause the were feeding me but obviously not him.

Totally OT for a MF diary as I always seem to be at the momet but with pelvic pain and blinding headaches i am takig 60mg of codein every 6-8 hours now I have a choice and the choice is totally mine. I either stop taking it and switch to paracetemol (which doesn't touch the pain) or I continue taking it and baby will need to be closely monitored after birth and treated for drug withdrawal symptoms.

I really am stuck in an impossible place and just want to cry be given an instruction or something

LP - I have no relevant knowledge but I just wanted to send you a hug and I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be along soon. Isn't CathT a nurse (I know some MFW is)? Maybe you could post on her diary to see if it is her and if she has any ideas on the painkiller issue.

  • One thing that is definite is that once the baby is out you will feel a lot better.

They wouldn't be giving you the codeine if you shouldn't be having it, but i understand why you don't want too. Trouble is you are a mum of 2 already and not like you can lie in a dark room and just rest.

Will it be easier if they give you a definite ceasarian date? Might help the part of you that likes to be organised.

TBH I think it would... it probably sounds horrible but if they said ok well we are booking you in for 25th January or something then I would know i only had 26 days or so at most to go so then I could and would deal with it. As it is drawers for baby room arrives tomorrow between 8 and 12, midwife is out around then too. baby room literally is full of boxes, OH is off work from Friday finish until 5am Wednesday so we have 4 days. well to be correct OH has 4 days to gut it.

We have baby crib in loft along with bedding so I want to get that washed plus get our bedroom deboxed so there is room for the crib. I need to make a list of what we have/need.

My consultant said even if baby early as long as doing ok with breathing, feeding, blood sugar, temp and over 5lb in weight then we will not be kept in hospital so depending on the date we could be in and out of hospital in 3 days. With the best will in the world, OH can't have the girls, sort out rooms, wash bedding, and be there for me and baby plus the shopping for other bits and peices.

Trying to stay in the calm zone but OMG I am so unorganised, really with the move and christmas I think i was in denial about everything. DD1 and 2 I was super organised this time i'm just not. I may spend tonight on mothercare/babies r us website and try get some bits delivered to here or a set of parents so at least I know the stuff is on its way.

Stay strong and safe LP. As Michelle said when the baby is out you will feel tons better and be able tp cope with everything. I don't think they would give you drugs if it was unsafe for baby so try not to worry.
