Sending you all positive thoughts, I think you are amazing, you have moved, done Christmas and look after two young children as well. I hope that you get some help and some pain relief soon.

Oh LP you really are going through it. Katsu, yes I'm a nurse (well, since March this year anyway!). I believe strong painkillers should be avoided if possible in pregnancy but is safe to take if needed. I have just had a look in my BNF and it just says baby would be monitored for withdrawal in a dependent mother (which you are not).

I do know of someone who was taking tramadol in pregnancy after sheer necessity and everything was ok. You could take paracetamol with codeine to perhaps reduce the amount of codeine you are taking without the side effects. Definitely keep on top of the pain rather than waiting for it to hit you. I really hope everything improves for you. How often is Midwife assessing you?

just coming out of lurkdom (sp!?) to wish you all the best. I know how it feels i was told after a 30wk scan they were ammending my due date so i was 36wks!!! in the end he stayed put until a week before my original due date.
I know the nesting instinct has kicked in but all a baby needs for the first few weeks is a few baby grows the blankets you already have and a well mummy!!
your oh sounds a lot like mine and makes it harder but from your previous posts sounds like you have supportive rents and they can always pop for anything you need most supermarkets are 24hr and sell everything!!!!
    best wishes. x
  • Hi LP and happy belated Christmas!

Although youre clearly well past the Crimbo part and onto the baby arriving part! You appear to be one of the most organised people I've heard of, so I would say not to fret and to make a list. I am the Queen of all Things To Be Listed in this house, I shall pass on the List wisdom.

    1. List for each person: ie: DH's list = clearing out boxes in nursery. clearing out boxes in your bedroom. Put away things from boxes. Make up crib and furniture for nursery. Put in clothes, towels, nappies etc into baby's room.

MIL List: Hoover nursery after boxes are dealt with. Make up bedding in crib once built. Entertain smallies. Make dinner. Run you a bath and ensure of peace whilst wallowing!

Dad's List: Do the food shopping. Take smallies out.

Your List: Order your bits and pieces for the baby online whilst horizontal. Put together hospital bag. Make sure wee is monitored and drugs taken when needed. Gather all paperwork to take into hospital. Relax as much as possible, you will certainly make up for all your laying about when the smallest pixie arrives so let some of the others take the strain for a while. Your middle name is to be Delegate until otherwise advised!!

    Hope youre OK though...... ;)

To the MIL list can we add your a MW DOOOOOOOOOOOO something about your grandchild.

i'm naughty just plumbed in a fridge. It was annoying me and DH is a bumbling idiot.

plan for tomorrow, my dad coming over to collect a missed parcel card and collect it from sorting office before they shut until Wednesday.. he is bringing mum with him. She will dress mini pixies while I shower and wait on the madwife arriving. Once dressed and dad has returned with awol parcel they will take the kids away to their house where santa has apparently left more christmas pressies. I will continue to wait here for madwife and the delivery of some drawers for baby room.

I really should liberate my OH 0% purchases card from his wallet i did ask him to leave it today but he didn't.

I NEED to be doing something i can't just lie about it drives me mad so i need tasks.

i'm ok I am just bored and sore i'm so swollen the skin feels like it will rip open, I should do a hospital bag and ideally paint my toe nails but i can't reach them so blah.

You forgot to say: Make lists :).

Don't fret LP, Mary managed in a stable with no internet shopping so am sure all will be well ;). Easy to say, but try to chill as much as possible.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

cheers ladies.. I am such a grumpy knickers.. still positive points.. its Friday... I am due on a tuesday so I am 33+3 which is almost 33 and a half weeks. :j:j thats is another few days closer to my 2011 goal and my 35 week goal. :D:D

Wait and see I will go 3 weeks overdue or something :p Staying positive and clinging onto vain hope bloods stay stable and placenta keeps on working appropriatly even although i realistically know I have more chance of winning tonights euro millions than going overdue. Madwife suspects eviction at 38 ish weeks if I am still pregnant. She thinks by that point risks of me staying pregnant and placenta failing outweight delivering 2 weeks before EDD and while technically full term.

So there we have it.. probably a maximum of 4 weeks to go. OH is working today and trying to book 1st 2 weeks in feb off as annual leave so he can then slot paternity leave around his annual leave and have the best part of a month with us all but maybe having to work a few days in between. It seems the best plan.. I would rather he had time after the birth with us than before. I think once baby arrives I will need time to rest and recover plus deal with two little girls wanting my attention, 4 weeks with daddy not working should be enough for us to settle into some sort of family routine plus if I get a section a fair bit of my recovery time.
