The ward is heaving with women being induced so glad to be home.. getting pains about every 20-25 minutes too, my MW has changed her target from 35 weeks to 34 but even 33 acceptable so I think this baby is coming and a bit earlier than february. I am 31 weeks now.

ok laies plans.... what do I need??? We have a crib and blankets, clothing wise i have v little, some 0-3 month vests, 0-3 month tracksuit and a 0-3 month pram suit. We have a bugaboo pram and a rear facing permenantly in the car car seat for OH car but nothing for my car. I heamorrage alot and have never managed to boob feed so we have steriliser and bottles too.

I just had nappies, wipes, cotton wool, a couple of boxes of vest, baby gros, coat, hats when I had DD2. Didn't want to buy much in unisex as I thought she was a girl and wanted to use DD1s stuff, but couldn't have first pics in very girlie things if it was a boy IYGWIM:rotfl:

    Moses basket, car seat, pushchair.

My mum was saying to me you seem to have nothing are you ready, but they don't need a great deal.

Formula? (I know nothing about this as I've exclusively breast fed mine) but my mum insisted on me getting formula in for DD1 and DD2 just in case (along with sterilizer, bottles) they are still sat in the box now :rotfl:

My MW said to me with DD2 at 38 weeks try and do two more weeks to give her lungs the best chance - felt like slapping her one as if I hadn't spent the last 38 weeks doing my upmost

  • Warm clothes. :rotfl:Babygros, vests, little cardies. Nappies, wipes, nappy sacks for explosions, vaseline (stops meconium sticking as bad apparently- preventative)

Snacks for you and DH. Nighties, pants, bras, maternity and breast pads, toiletries for you and baby.

I'm sure it will all come to you hon. Too much else on your mind up to now.

  • Boots bog standard ones are fine. I also bought a set of boots washable breast pads. I guess they are only really any good if feeding though?

Are there none floating round in any bounty bags?
  • Wow LP, exciting times. Wishing you healthy baby-stay-put-if-that's-the-right-thing vibes.

breast pads You do get a pack of johnsons in the bounty pack (just two though)

They were a revelation to me as I didn't know about them with DD1 and bought cheapie Morrisons ones for DD2 (Johnsons so much nicer)

  • Having no wee ones, I know nothing of what babies would need, which is no use to you at all!

Can your Mum get you the bits you need so you dont have to leave the house?? I would say nappies, wipes, nappy sacks, formula and bottles, Milton??, nappy rash cream, blankets, hat, socks, babygros, bibs, tissues, food for you, nightie, clothes, washbag, shower gel..............

So does that mean you may have mini pixie as early as Dec and not Feb then??!

This mini pixie is not getting released until 2011. I am point blank refusing..... nothing exciting has happened. had my consultant to 'discuss' things. at moment bp higher, bloods ok but urate levels higher than before. Baby still better off inside than out at the moment twice daily bp checks and wee checks at home by the community midwives and weekly bloods, growthscans and ctg's at hospital and taking things a day at a time. I have set myself a target of 35+2, I turn 30 that day so that is my aim, I want to reach that milestone pregnant but taking each day at a time. Consultant says we will meet at 36 weeks to discuss a cs or induction at 37 weeks if I make it that far. I have to call triage at the slightest change of if something just doesn't feel right.

news here is we get real internet saturday plus a phone line :)
