There tends to be lots of ideas bouncing about on the thread some great others just bizzare............. There is help with matched betting and other bit though so worth a lookMF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000

Congratulations on the move. Hope all went fairly smoothly, and your blood pressure is still stable.
You having a big thaw? Most of our white stuff has gone. I have never been so pleased to look out the window and see greenery.0 -
yeah lots of thaw here, more forcast for end of the week. My husband thinks i'm nuts. Mortgage balance is 111068.98 and I am planning on calling this week and overpaying £70 to brin gthe amount under 111k.
My brother in law has shown me how to link lappy to mobile so I can check emails and post alittle.
Scored on the doors regarding move is this. Movers cost £150 less than budgetted for, storage place called to say we are due a £57 refund because they take payment in advance but refund is issued via cheque so what was our new address. Last summer I complained about PPI mis-selling and the company concerned denied it but offered settlement as a guesture of goodwill which I accepted. On Wednesday I received a letter from that company (in my maiden name) saying they have been instructed by their governing body to reexamin all PPI sales and why has I not returned the accept or decline their offer letter sent oit late October 2010. I never received it so I called them and they would tell me basically zero over the telephone other than they need my marriage cert and confirmation of new address then they will send out information in married name to new address. I cheekily emailed them that info because I have a scanned copy of marriage cert on lappy already but printer away already so I was hoping that will be enough for them to send stuff out here. All very very strange. I have decided if they has deemed me to be due a further refund that every penny will be going to mortgage. As far as I am concerned its money we never knew about or expected so will make the most difference off the mortgage.
My mind is turning towards 2011 target. If we just pay the contracted mortgage payments we should have 110300 ish outstanding next December, there is no way I want to have as much as that. I was thinking more under 109k. we have 4 months where our income doesn't cover outgoings so we need to save about 1600 in 6 months as well so I want to set realistic targets but ones that are a challenge.
I will have a good old think about it I think and then post them when I have net returned. I have obviously used a CB site for the internet/tv sign up so thats another £120 and has already been validatedMF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -
Woohoo on the move, hope you're being good and resting still though0

Yeah, glad you're in and seems to have been stress free (am assuming that as you haven't mentioned it, although maybe it was so traumatic you can't bear to think of it yet :rotfl:).
You are so organised, sorting out money already!A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

I bought him a little a6 note pad earlier on this year for him to write down his to do lists so not forget stuff.... 4 days and he forgot where he put the pad and it only surfaced again during the pack up and TBH I think he threw it in the bin.
Nice example after lunch he said I think i will go get my hair cut, ok I say well while your there nip to the postoffice next door and sort out the mail redirection to new address for a year please. OK he says. Oh and nip into the co-op and pick up some fresh apple juice, I really fancy a pint of cold apple juice. Now the barbers co-op and postoffice are a 5 minute stroll so say 10 minutes in this weather although a pavement plow and gritter has been along. So about 10 minutes later my phone goes... How long am i redirecting the post for, a year i say, that isn't an option, 1,3,6 or 12 months are the only option... umm 12 months is a year. oh so it is bye. less than a minute later.. where is it going to.. umm our new address.. yeah he says but i don't know it...... so tell him new address.... 30 seconds another call.. how do i pay for it?? umm with your bank card oh ok bye....
Seriously I wonder how he manages to dress himself in the morning.
Oh this really did make me laugh! :rotfl:
I am working through change of address things... totally annoying me though.... sorted council tax, out plus minor things like my clubcard, avantage card etc. Handed in notice to storage container so that will be empty for next tuesday. Midwife coming out tomorrow morning to check me over and do more blood pressure so I will get address changed then or i will get my MIL to do it seen as she is technically a MW. Very weird being in a hospital ward and the MW dealling with you is telling you she actually delivered your husband all those years ago...LilacPixie wrote: »For those looking to make extra money there is a make 11k in 2011 challenge starting on the up your income board. That sounds fab, i'll try and find it and have a read through later. I swear keeping up with this forum is a job in itself!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
move mostly stress free... the odd hiccup. My parents shower went on the blink totally yesterday so had me dad at the door at 10a wanting to use the shower which was a bit bizzare. He at least had the sense to bring his own towel but not showergel/shampoo. I was in the middle of unpacking the bathroom box so it was all ok but he got 1st shower in new home.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000
