Well here we go.. The start is here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1792381 but for anyone that hasn't read it here is a brief synopsis.
I bought a flat when a single person but time has moved on and I'm now married with 2 kids and a third on the way. I started my MF journey in 2009 with some debt like student loans and a 0% credit card. with the intention of clearing as much as possible to then sell the flat and buy a family home with my husband for us all. After about a year and just before my fixed rate expired and we started to seriously look about DH 'confessed' to having a not inconsiderable amount of debt I did not know about. I have RR multiple sclerosis which has been behaving itself for a long time. shortly after OH 'confession' I started to suffer with unbareable tierdness and I thought I was relapsing, imagine my shock when my neurologist announced that actually I wasn't I was just pregnant :eek::eek:
So situation is this, I have sold flat and we have bought a 3 bed/2 bath semi. We move mid December 2010. Our solicitor has received all the documentation so here are the scores on the doors for 10th December onwards
£111,044.56 at 5.99% fixed until November 2012. Payment is just under £715 a month and 10% overpayments can be made. I am aiming to round the payment up to £750 each month. I know it isn't alot but with my impending maternity leave/pay it is about the most we will manage until early 2012. Our LTV is currently a smidge over 80% because we had to add fee's etc onto mortgage
My dearest husband still has debt, we did attack what he had in 2010 but there is still a fair amount to go. I will post on a seperate post what is outstanding at the moment so I can record it falling along side mortgage payments. On of DH's loans does not allow OP's but finishes summer 2012 so hoping come remortgage date/expiry of fixed rate we will be in a position to either rack up some larger overpayments or offset depending on what is happening with interest rates then.
That aside I have decided I want to be totally MF by December 2020 which is the month before I turn 40 so we have a reasonably large task ahead to shave 15 years off term which should be doable at a push.
I am aiming to have 2011 gifts as totally money neutral from doing survey, clicks and anything else really. Matched betting really does appeal but I am not trying that until we are settled at least and even then will not be rushing it. I do read alot of diaries etc on the gambling loophole board, I also float around on the grabbits and up your income board in search of more ways to make some extra cash. In addition to this I have a small jewellery business that I hope to expand but with baby pixie and the toddler pixies being 4 and 2, I am really doubting if I have the time.
I do not include jewellery profit as income instead it just accumulates in my business account then when tax return done and tax liability known I spend/save the remains. For 10/11 I suspect profit will be used to offset some of my drop in income due to maternity leave and some to pay off some more debt or my 0% card in Jan 2012.
Also as a side issue a broker I used for car finance has been investigated by FSA and found to be falsifying records and a criminal trial followed. The company/individual has no assets so the fsa has referred full cases to the FSCS for 'compensation' and we are pretty much near top of pile. Hopefully the FSCS will decide that recompence is appropriate because every little helps.
So thats us in a nutshell. I will be winding up diary pt1 with the odd post over the next few weeks and moving here 100% when my focus is 100% on new house and mortgage.

Last day working from home with internet and full childcare so I thought I would make a start
usually I am either in an office and run off my feet or on conference calls or have 1-2 kids around my ankles.
My aim is by November 2012 to have the vast majority of OH debt gone with the exception of his student loan AND have LTV under 75% as that is the current LTV required for an offset. That means I need to clear around 10k off the amount owed if prices stay the same but even more if values decrease. We will see what happens over the next 2 years I guessMF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -

I can see a bit of friendly rivalry ensuing in our money neutral aims for 2011. I'm glad you are doing renewed focus and a new diary too, as i will find it more motivating. Very selfish of me. :rotfl:
Good luck with the move and all your new challenges.0
