Asda have a Christmas toy collection trolley in the foyer of their stores.
I questioned the how's and where's and found out that the toys were going to children who were victims of domestic violence and abuse.
I put my skateboards in there and the lady was nearly in tears with gratitude.
I'm not suggesting that everyone follows suit, just that if you have a spare (ie you only really needed one) then you could give the other to any fantastic cause and it would only have cost you £1.25 to maybe make a child's christmas ultra special.Sealed pot challange no: 3390 -

Thanks for mentioning this. Me and my son had to go in to a safe house/womans refuge on several occassions and we spent at least two xmas's in a safe house. My son was always given presents by staff, I never knew were they came from but I cannot express how grateful I was. I always ensure I donate a few pounds to charities( I dont have a lot of money, so I give what I can) that help womans aid and refuge and I will defo be taking the skateboard I got to Asda and what ever else I can give. Can you tell me if all Asda's do this? Thanks and well done for helping a child :-)0 -
Picked up 3 today for £5.62, cant work out how it came to that but the manager sorted it:j
One for dd5 for chrimbo, one for her classmates birthday party she's going to next week and I will give the school the other one on Monday for the Xmas raffle!!
Bargain!!
When I was collecting though, one of the ladies serving said, "these were supposed to have been taken off stock because of the glitch, so think yourself lucky I can't do anything about it now!!"
I had by then my smug face on and thanked her very much,.........the cheeky moose.Life is a rollercoaster.....ya just gotta ride it:whistle:0 -

Anyone know if they'd appreciate children's books too?
I received a lovely kids hardback storybook from The Book People today, as a free gift for ordering 3 books (with a code). It's not suitable for any kids I know (too babyish) so I'd gladly donate it to this type of appeal....if they're after books too.0
