Argos skateboard glitch 2 for £2.50!!

andy.m - i have just telephoned my local asda and their toy collection is for Banardos and it's gonna be in store until the 2nd week in December. I hope this helps some people. I will be posting this on my staffroom wall at work and will be trying to get more. Such a worthwhile cause. x

Just collected mine, they came up at £5.85 for the two, i paid at the self-service checkout, collected them, took them to my car and went back in to tell them I had been overcharged and they refunded them and re-sold them for £1.25 ech.YIPEE!!!

Argos have redeemed themselves!!

I returned this morning with my email from customer services, it was different staff who were very nice and helpful, they couldn't get the discount on the till to go through properly so let me have the pair for £2.40. They said they had 16 in stock all had been previously reserved and the deputy manager had refused to sell them at £2.50 during the week.

I will be keeping mine for my kids for xmas, but all those who are donating I can only say you will make a child very happy, I used to work in a Centre supporting women who had experienced DV, we had a party at Christmas for their children, they would all get a present all of which were donated in a similar manner. They were always so thrilled, often they have had to flee and literally leave with nothing more than the clothes on their backs.

I reserved 2 on Wednesday with a collection at my local Argos dated between yesterday and Tuesday. Just went over to collect them and my reservation number was not recognised. Went to the desk to be told that the warehouse were unable to fulfill my order. So be warned if you have reserved some under the same system you may go to the shop and be disappointed like me.

I was lucky enough to get mine for £2.25 without too much trouble at the till, just showed confirmation email.

Popped the spare one in the local radio station toy appeal bin while I was there.

My sis took my reservation number to my local Argos who refused to give it to her and told her they would reserve for one more day if she brought in printout to say it ws £2.50. I went back yesterday with printout and a very irate manager came over and said to assistant to let me have them for £2.50 but nobody else!

I collected my two yesterday - Thanks again to the OP,It was a brillaint find and its saved me over £10 because i was going to buy skateboard for my little boy anyway as hes been asking for one because he's outgrown his little one

I was being served by a duty manager as it happened anyway and she was very nice about it - she really struggled to get the price to go on the till but continued trying and wasnt gonna give up lol - eventually the she managed to get it to £2.65 and i just said well thats close enough so just put it through as that

Just got out of Argos, no where near as good as the original glitch but I couldn't get there last week. I decided to buy one at £3.75 as for a pressie it was a good buy but when I went through self service till it offered me a different skateboard at half price, great for me as I would need 2 different ones anyway. I thought it would come off the £3.75 one but it came off the £7.50 one. So I got 2 for £7.54. I am very happy with that as 2 the same would have been a bad idea in my house.
