yeah exactly! the main reason we do is because of the credit crunch. i really didn't need to be reminded of it by this squirt!

It's really annoying when they just assume you're a thug/thief or whatever. Like I said earlier in the postings, I was getting funny looks like maybe somehow I had actually changed the numbers somehow. I even told the manager that 1 was going to cost me £3.75 and that it made more sense to buy 2 for £2.50. I even honestly openly admitted that I only needed 1 but that the other one I was giving to charity. Would a thief do that?!?!?!?!
The way things are these days is there really someone out there who isn't going to try and get the best deal they can. That one particular manager needs to get the sack and go stand in the queue at the job centre and see if he wouldn't do the same thing.

Took a print off of my reservation with me to collect last night.

Reservation was cancelled. Manager came over to overide to internet price. Left the till.

Sales assistant said "That's £5 then please" Manager called back to show the reservation. Manager overrode the price, so 2 for £2.50 for me. Sales assistant was shocked when she saw what I was getting for £2.50.

I have just had an email back from customer services with an apology saying they have contacted the store and if I return with the same reservation number the £2.50 price will be honoured!!

I have just been into my Argos in Newport, and had a row with the manager who refused to honour the price.
I reserved the skateboards the first day they came up and went to collect today. I was again asked for £5 by the assistant. Another assistant said, just go get the manager who will over ride the price. she came back and said it was an online mistake so the price was wrong and they would be £5, I asked for the manager who was very rude. He told me it was an online mistake and that he didn't have to honour anything. I argued my case but we were just going around in circles. I showed a copy of my reservation, so he really had no argument, he just kept repeating. we've been told not to let you have them for £2.50. utter rubbish if you ask me. Customer service was appalling, I had a huge strop, made sure I raised my voice loud enough for passer by's to here and told him what I thought of there cust services! I am now going to email head office! So rude!
