Argos skateboard glitch 2 for £2.50!!

Rainey, i'm happy you have been told this....I have just written a long email again complaining about the way I was spoken to and that they didn't honour the price, so waiting to see if I get the same!

I've got 2 reserved for today but after reading the comments above I don't think I'm going to bother going for them even though the email says £2.50 !

You know what? I was going to do the exact same thing this morning, I thought what's the point, several people on here have had really bad experiences - but then I changed my mind!

The Manager at my store was very friendly and didn't have a problem overriding the system at all - in fact, when he'd finally finished tapping away on the keyboard, the total came up as £1.87 and he said, "crikey, you have got a bargain haven't you!"

So I would advise you to go - if they say no, they say no, you've not lost anything

Just picked up my reserved ones today...no problem. manager had to be called to over ride the computer cost...but got them for £1.25 each!!

Don't give up because you're worried about what they may say..you are the customer, with a valid reservation!:)

This was a great find, originally posted on hotukdeals. But reserved online on the 17/11/2010 at 5.30pm, picked up two half an hour later. Used the prepay kiosk, went through at £5.63, paid and queried through customer services, but as I didn't have original email reservation on me, they said they couldn't do anything unless I produced the printout.
Went back the next day at around 6pm, visited customer services, no problem getting refund once I produced the proof. Took the lady 15 mins to get the refund through the till, still didn't manage and she had to leave the till fund down by my refund. But I got the two skateboards for £2.50. Result

Definately worth complaining if you get over charged!

i had no problems with the argos stores in stockport today, both were only too happy to overide the till to ensure they came out at 2.50 and the other one sold them to me for £1.87 as he couldnt get the right price and said just sell them for that with a smile! presents sorted for all the boys in the family and with the extra one we took it to asda who are collecting for all the underprivelidged kids in manchester, so another little boy or girl will be happy on xmas morning!:T

well ive just got back from picking my 2 scate boards up for £2.25.
they said they wernt allowed to sell it to me at that price any more and showed me the memo that had been sent out on the 19.11
i showed them my reservation was made on the 17.11 and gave them the print out with the £2.50 price on it. the manager rang the head office and they told her as i had reserved it prior to the memo going out on the 19th that they would honour my reservation price. nearest she could put it through at was £2.25 for both
