I know I am nearly a month late in replying on this thread, but thought I would let you know that, I have experienced the same
The trouble is, eventhough I have cleared my balance before the interest went on, £200 DD over the phone £57 in credit, they still haven't taken off the £57 credit (and added the interest), saying that the department is running 6 weeks behind, and the default charges will be wiped off
Now 6 weeks since I first rang and they are saying, they don't know when it will be sorted as there is a backlog
Eventhough it will be wiped off, they don't know when and it will affect my credit rating and he had the cheek to say "Is this ok?", I told him it wasn't ok and that I found their service disgusting
I asked for the financial ombudsman phone number, and had to go through 3 different departments before I could finally get a number.
I will be ringing FO on monday
This is out of order and giving me sleepless nights
For anyone who wants the finacial ombudsmans number, it is free for mobile users 0300 123 9123. Free for landlines 0800 0234 5670 -
Ooo, that sounds very bad, you definately have a case and hopefully their regulators will sort them out.
You definately should get written confirmation of everything from them and even afterwards I would check your credit reports to make sure they haven't put bad markers on it.0 -
I would`nt touch anything to do with Littlewoods with a bargepole after getting stung by them a few years ago .0

Hi Guys,
Firstly, let me apologise on behalf of Very.co.uk for the problems some of you have experienced. Anybody having issues regarding BNPL offers and payments can email their accout details into us at Network@VeryHQ.co.uk and we will look into each individual issue for you.
In regards to the BNPL offers, as a few of you have already mentioned, if you want to make the payments early you will need to let us know either by phone or email which item(s) you want the payments to come off. This applies to both Very.co.uk and Littlewoods.
It has been done this way to avoid any confusion regarding payments for individual items in case customers place orders on their normal credit account and not only on BNPL. We can then target each payment accordingly.
Any customer service advisor can allocate a payment towards any items on BNPL as soon as the payment has reached us if you contact us to let us know.
Also, in regards to anybody who has paid up their account and haven't contacted us to allocate their payments towards goods on BNPL, don't worry, just let us know and we can forward the details onto our Underwriting department where they will unpick any previous payments and target them towards items which have been on BNPL. Once this is done any interest you may have been charged will be removed providing the items on BNPL were paid up before the due date to be charged.
As one post mentions earlier, this department is extremely busy in catching up with the backlog of accounts who have all experienced this problem and there may be a few weeks wait for the accounts to be rectified however, please rest assured this will be sorted for each account if you let us know.
I hope this helps and as mentioned earlier, please don't hesitate to email us at Network@VeryHQ.co.uk with your account details and information regarding your query and we will do our Very best to solve any problems you may have.
For issues regarding Littlewoods accounts, email us at facebook@littlewoods.co.uk.
Many Thanks
Chris

a few weeks wait for the accounts to be rectified.
mine has been ongoing for 6 weeks, and I am still being told it hasn't been dealt with, in the meantime my credit rating has been affected.
And I have abided by the terms and conditions, contacted Littlewoods before the date the interest should have gone on.
I will email you my details, but I shall still be contacting the financial ombudsman

Thanks for this thread that i happened upon as i am about to start paying off a bnpl item up which is in may and i had no idea i had to ring and inform them where i want my money to go :T0

Glad i've seen this.
Ive made payments to them this year which cover my BNPL items for payments due in January, and my statements show that the payments have been applied correctly (Your Latest Payment Of £29.00 Settles The Cash Price Of £29.00 In Full So You Will Not Be ChargedInterest And There Is No More To Pay etc) , yet i've just received my bill showing that I need to make minimum payments! Why would I have to make minimum payments on something I have already paid for???
The statement above from the Very spokesperson is ridiculous. I have only ever purchased goods outright on a debit card, or using BNPL. I have NEVER purchased anything on "normal" credit, so my payments should automatically be applied to the BNPL items, after all there is nothing else TO apply them to!COMP WINS FOR HUBBY & I SINCE SEPTEMBER:2 £50 DOMINOS VOUCHERS, 13 PAIRS OF FOOTBALL TICKETS, MICROSOFT HOME EDTN, 2 PAIRS OF ALTON TOWERS TICKETS, 1 CASE OF PERCY PIGS, 1 PAIR OF LEATHER LADIES GLOVES, 4 COLLECTION 2000 PRODUCTS, PLAYSTATION 3 WITH FIFA 12, 5* HOTEL STAY IN LONDON, SEASON 6 OF SUPERNATURAL DVD, PERFECT PIZZA VOUCHER0
