MSE staff seem very quiet on this one. There website in some shape or form is responsible for this and being perfectly honest Martin should have ensured he and everyone of his senior management cancelled their meetings today to resolve this and reassure people.

As has been suggested a breach of data protection has almost certainly occurred furthered by the fact the website seem to have known of it and taken no preventative measures. That big fine they could get isn't very moneysaving.

I only registered in 2010 and have got this spam. So the explanation about it being from an attack in 2009 does not seem right.
I have deleted it, but in all seriousness how has this been allowed to happen?

I had one too, I also had a fake paypal one today too if that makes any difference

I had one too. I also have been getting the penis ones and various of the same ilk in the last week or so

I received one to. It's obvious you have been hacked just annoying that there will now be an increase of Spam to that email
