i tend to buy offers and put them away (like bog2f) pepsi and pringles etc and put them away, plus savers stamps and the £25 off voucher from morrisons, Last yr it was about £120 so we had about £40 to pay:xmastree: :rudolf: :xmastree:0

John Lewis were handing out samples from their foodhall this week-The Waitrose mince pies are fabulous-Far nicer than the M&S ones BTW (and are currently half price)I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

I haven't got an extra budget for Christmas week. I have been buying extras every week with my normal shopping and storing them away. That way it spreads the cost over several weeks. It also means I can take advantage of offers and save money.0

This year we have family staying with us and it will be 11 of us for 4 days  so last month i spent £100 on ambient food for Christmas and this month will buy the booze, drinks and pay for the Turkey Crown at our butchers so probably another £120 ish.
Then day before Chrsitmas eve i will go out get all the veggies, fruit and chilled stuff so another £50 there.
Sounds a lot but there will be 11 of us but it will keep us going for a couple weeks and we usually spend £100 per week on food, toiletries, household detergents anyway.0 -
My Nan bless her saves the tesco saving stamps for me and the girls and that is our christmas present £100 so I use it to buy the food for christmas which always pleases her as she know then we will have some goodies. Then all I usually have to buy is our fruit and veg which comes to about another £30.:jmember of the thrifty gifty 2011 :j0
