Mrs Orpheo ignored her case of the stampfooties, not so the lady behind, who said, "Oh, I'll buy her some sweets." You can imagine Mrs Orpheo's choice words to this foolish interloper..
Good for Mrs Orpheo for sticking to her guns. But I can't help wonder what the scientist mini Orpheo earn from exploring Mrs Orpheo's choice words?
I think your point about kids in restaurants/pubs is interesting. I love kids in restaurants, (and dogs). In fact generally I like kids. But last week there was a kid climbing all over a table in a place I had taken someone for coffee. Other places I've lived in that have a more indulgent attitude to children in eateries would have been less indulgent to that sort of thing. I don't like little kids, as opposed to older teens or babes in arms (or The Arms) in pubs for a different reason than not liking to share my space with kids, more from not liking to share my space with the kind of parents who take kids to pubs.0 -
If you are put off by every emotive title then you can't be too well read. You must hate the papers. I'm not sorry to miss you.
Yes, some of the pathetic ones.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -

This thread is amazing! Ha ha! :rotfl:
A perfect parent preaching to the 'abyssmal' masses! I'd love to meet Little Miss Orpheo and see how she turned out ... how old is she now?!"The most desirable trait of the internet is the ability to attribute quotes to anyone."
