Sorry I'm no help & I know everyone is different but can you remember what size their feet were when they were younger my dd is just 5 & is just into size 1, a few people have commented that that's big!!! (those with big gob's maybe lol) si I just wondered if this is what I've got to look forward to when she's a teenager, no doubt towering over me too.

My DD2 is 5 in one month and she is only in a size 11, so I would say your daughter's feet are big. However, my DD1 is 8 years old and already wears size 4 shoes which is the same size as me. She is also very tall and people expect her to be at least 10 years old when they first meet her. She has been stealing my flipflops for at least the last year and half and now I can borrow her trainers and flipflops!! My son is 2 in a month and his feet are almost the same size as my five year olds. I think DD2 may end up being small like me, whereas the others will be tall like their dad!!
DD1 born May 2002, DD2 born Dec 2005, DS born Dec 2008. Baby due May 2010! TEAM PINK!!

My DD is 9 next Sunday and she's a 3.5 adult. She has hobbit feet! DS is 7 in 5 weeks and he's a 2.5 but he's much shorter and slighter than her. Funnily enough she was 6lb 5 oz and he was 8lb 5 oz when born!
Both are in the next year or two for length of clothes. DS is really skinny though, up until last term he had 12-18 month shorts for PE but they were getting Gary Linekar like!
DH is 6'3" and I'm 5'9" so they're likely to be tall, just not sure how tall!

  • I stopped growing as a 5' 10" 13 year old but I had needed new clothes, underwear, shoes and school uniform almost every term for the previous 8 years. When I began at secondary school I wore a child's shoe size 12H, but by the time I left I was an adults size 9D.

I was a trial to my mother. ;)

My son was always big for his age.(9pounds 9oz at birth). the trouble was everyone always expected him to be more mature than he was. Yet, even now he is 12 he can still cry on his way to school because he missed his train stop which must look odd to other people on the train(he is 6 foot).

Thanks everyone she is just a smidge off 4ft now, and was 9lb8 half oz at birth(yes that did smart a little) so she has always been big, I don't think she is ever going to be a wee delicate creature. She takes after her 6ft4 daddy in the height stakes. I don't think tall girls are as rare as they were when I was growing up so I'm sure when she's older she won't tower over everyone.
    Booo!!!
  • My sons have size 15 and I have size 10. Have a look on google there are several places that do large sizes, sadly not much choice for younger people - mostly for older people but there are some. We've used Walktall quite a lot.

My niece is 9 yo and wears a size 12... my DD is 3 and wears a size 9.5-10.... everytime my niece hears this she says she is a size 1

she is the eldest grandchild taller than the other children her age but my DD is quite big for age and skinny... niece doesnt like the idea that my dd will be taller in future... but my OH is 6 ft and i am 5.5 and her mum and dad are 5.10 and 5.1 so looks like my dd will be taller.
