So for match betting, if there are new sign ups through cashback that I havent used yet, use them and then bet on one sight one way and bet on another site another way to cover either possibility. Is that right? What happens if its a draw like on footy?

Does it work if you havent got cashback? I thought it was to make use of the offers that way.

Pammy I'm by no means an expert at matched betting. You're better off reading the guide on the GAIO boards to be honest.
The main jist of it is you bet on team a to WIN at one bookies and then bet on team a to LOSE at the echange (ie betfair). If it's a draw then essentially the team has lost which means the exchange will get the money.

You make the money from cashback and free bets essentially, but you can get lucky to find what they call an arb where the odds are better at the exchange than the bookies.

Thanks Jelllie, need to cost it all out, but it could be a good "extra". Doubt it'll make me loads though, we'll see.

I think it partly depends how much you enjoy it and how much time you have to dedicate to it. If you enjoy doing it then if you make enough to cover costs at least it is a money neutral hobby. If you can make more it is a bonus. I seem to remember liking what you'd made!

    Welcome Yukki.

MB is on my list of things for 2011, some seem to do so so well at it that I simply must have a go ut nerves always get to me :( Hope its not too personal a question but have you any idea how much you 'made' at matched betting?? I look at the GIOL board and often such questions seem to turn into a pen1s measuring contest, excuse the language. I think i just need it told from a basic straight forward not trying to impress perspective :)

Hi Lilacpixie, I didn't make as much as I could have to be honest because I was too chicken to play with big money. I probably came out with just over £300 profit from the "easy" offers that I found. I may go back to it in the new year, but I find I really have to concentrate. (Or I may wait until I'm married and start afresh with new name and bank card :rotfl:with the easy offers again).

BTW is it you that makes jewellery? Did you make that tiara I saw on Caroline's (I think) thread? It's gorgeous. If so do you still make them?

Do you sell them online, would love to take a look, am wanting a tiara for my wedding, but I've never made one myself so not sure I have the confidence to make my own

I was almost at a NSD yesterday when I realised ELC had an extra 20% off their toys, so £50 later and I've got one of DD2's, plus a couple of bits for our friends children. It's a job done that would have needed doing anyway, but it feels like money is flowing out like water at the mo, but not coming in.

DD1 also was getting a new phone for xmas, and now she's changed her mind and wants a more expensive one. Who'd have kids!

Still I've planned my dinner for tonight at work so will stay away from the shop and hopefully not spend any money.
