Hi YB
Great to see you moving over here! You sound like you're still ahead of me on the wedding prep. I keep spending too much in Hobbycraft!
Hope the invite making is going well! I'm going to try and sort ours out over the Christmas hols.

Thanks everyone.
Jellie we haven't got that much longer to go, and the invites were more complicated than I thought so they are taking me ages and costing me more money, but never mind it's done now. Just posted on your diary this morning funnily enough.
I have woken up this morning to an email informaing me I have won a 2011 diary. That saves me buying one :j
Good positive start to the week. I am at home all day today waiting for a couple of deliveries, so I want to sort out the Christmas present list and work out what I still have to buy so I can try and get that out of the way.0 -
I was aiming for a NSD today, but sadly after spending £3.40 on postage and £11 on top up shop, it all seemed like it was out of the window. Still I also managed to get a personalised birthday card for OH's godson for his 1st birthday using a free code so only paid 49p postage, and I've just ordered my Mum's xmas present using clubcard vouchers, and used some extra vouchers to double up on the clothes promotion. I got £42 worth of pj's, knickers, vests, and a dress up outfit for DD for xmas all for £6 of my money. Quite a good result.
£4.71 also landed today from an amazon sale.
No new bids on ebay items but I have sorted a couple more bits to be put on, and put a couple of things on amazon, so hoping they sell quickly.0 -
Hope you can post a pic of an invite- bet they look great!
You might not have managed a NSD but well done on the bargains!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
Jellie, I blogged a how to on my invites and a couple of the pics are here . I haven't shown a pic of the front as it has our names and the date on it, but it's basically got a heart in each corner of the top of the invite and a silver and cream rectangle with our names and the date of the wedding which acts as the opener of the invite.0

I've been having a little think this morning after reading some diaries on here. After reading Carolines diary and hearing how she sells her wares on Folksy, Misi etc, it got me to thinking about my own Folksy shop. I've been selling jewellery for most of the year, and in the last couple of months have let it lapse slightly as have been busy with the wedding etc.
I've got a bit of thought to put into this but as I only make because I enjoy it, what I could do is turn the focus to the mortgage with it, set up a separate account for my tax, and use any actual profit for overpaying the mortgage. If that's all I use the jewellery for then it gives me a focus for it.
Supplies, fees etc will all come from paypal so technically it could work.0 -
Hi Yukkibear,
The very best of luck to you with paying the mortgage down and congratulations on shiting all your debt (and of course on the upcoming wedding). I too have been meaning to have a crack at matched betting but I started lazily and just placed the tenner bet at Paddypower to get the £25 cashback through quidco (which was paid today). Needless to say I lost the bet (rookie mistake) so it'll be matched betting for me from now on!
Cheers,

Yay! I'm an inspiration! :j:j
I have to a listing session this afternoon. I have so much stuff to go on my shops. I list on Misi and Folksy. Not the best way to go about it but Folksy is more popular and Misi has smaller fees. I don't make a huge profit but at least I cover the cost of my hobby. I think I must cost the HMRC more to administer than they actually get from my tax!
Good luck on your journey. I have subscribed so will keep an eye on your thread.0 -

Billy, if you haven't done matched betting and managed everything I read in your diary earlier, then you def need to have a go, your goal will be achieved in double quick time.Caroline73 wrote: »Yay! I'm an inspiration! :j:j

Yes you are caroline, however I am going to spend some time costing everything out before I start making anything to sell again. Besides I don't have the spare cash for supplies I really want at the mo.
Todays spends have been
£8 on wellies for DD2
£8 on revision guides for DD1
You can't say I don't treat them equally :rotfl:
Nothing made today sadly.0
