Buy a Plasma TV .. you will not see any difference between HD and SD.

The SD picture is every bit as good as the HD one.

When you get HD installed make sure the fitter installs the HDMI cable between the box and tv, i've seen 2 installations where they have connected to the tv using the existing scart (and left the people wondering why they couldn't see any difference between HD and SD).

Anyone who can't tell the difference between SD and HD when say, watching football is either-

    Blind
    An Idot
Pretending they can't see a difference because they don't want to pay £10pm

And there is nothing worse than an Idot!

Which is what I suppose my mate is, not blind but has a problem with his eyesight which means that HD is not noticeably different and 3D is just non-existent.

    Surely only " Idot's " watch football.

    Only " Idot's " pay £10 a month to watch TV.;)

I was going to say that only idiots cannot spell the word idiot, but that would be far too harsh.:)

I suppose it depends on your tv. On our old one it was a bit better, on our new one it is a world apart.

That only shows that your new TV is not as good at displaying SD material as your old one.
