It would be like saying when I go to work I hit myself over the head with a cricket bat mid-morning. This is a great plan. I'm much better off than my pal who hits himself over the head with a cricket bat mid-morning and mid-afternoon. You're imposing a restrictive condition on employee 1.
No. No. You've not been paying attention. To make this scheme work you need to hit yourself with a cricket bat mid-morning but poke yourself in the eye with a sharp stick in the afternoon. Never hit yourself twice with a cricket bat - you'll mess with the whole space time continuum.0 -

Whats yours???

mumbles, I have a better strategy.
Here's how it works.
You ask your boss if you can combine Monday and Tuesday, and count that as 1 day - You work from 9am Monday to 5.30pm Tuesday, with a lunchbreak at midnight or something. you probably spend an hour or two skiving and larking around, and you still start and finish at the same time as Doug in finance, Who cares.
You work the rest of the week as normal, so now you're down to a 4-day week, plus you've got to mess about on ebay, or play with the water cooler for a couple hours.
You still get the same holiday entitlement as everyone else. But they're working 5 days to your 4 days.
The next year you get a promotion (it's gonna happen), you now have a staff of, say, 5. You get one of those people to change their shift pattern to match yours.
However, they're now only working 4 days. So should they get their holiday cut? Hell yes! You sneak onto HR's computer and stick those extra days onto your entitlement (they'll never notice) and it won't be costing them any more money.
Now, a few more years go by, a few more promotions, a few more staff chucked onto 4-day weeks.... You'll be working 1 month a year. Tops.

Cricket bats are pretty scarce up in Scotland. That'll be why all my schemes have failed.Hope over Fear. #VoteYes0 -

The median or mode number of days?
The maximum number of days?
The minimum number of days?
To me, {364, 363, 363, 363} is _more_ than {226, 364, 364, 364}.0 -

People have spent hours trying to do so - there seems to be a broad (understatement) consensus that you are talking cr*p.
If you get 20 days holiday a year you get 20 days holiday a year. Take them when you want and even visit planet Earth if you get chance but you cannot turn 20 days into 21 no matter when you take them.
I'm guessing your reply will be along the lines of "but what about the strategy - it works"0 -
