My grandma rang me up with a code she had and because she isn't online i input her details for her. I was sent a password and downloaded my voucher. I have 3 vouchers now (one for me, one for my mum and one for my grandma). I don't think they would do the ip address route, i think by making it one per household is a lot fairer as if it was ip address people (like my nan) without internet access miss out.
Hope people have got some nice thingsNeed a new start..wheres good to live in the UK?!0 -

Did u get ur voucher very quick or did u have to wait till a certain date?
the ip route would be no use really..it will only catch out a few people cus all u need to do it power off and on ur router again to get a new ip and most people who have broadband in UK have dynamic ip's (changing) rather then static (stays the same).
Also 1 per household also has its downside like people have saying on here...what if ur a student sharing a house or u have a more then one house.....I guess u cant satisfy every single person who wants to enter and from the start, to stop people abusing it soo much..they should have put down a minimum spend of a £5 or £10....cus either way..they (pcworld/currys) will have a win, win situation then cus all of their stock is expensive and the stuff that are £5 and under..people normally buy it elsewhere anyway....thats what Poundland stores are for..lol:rotfl:
btw...i dont think its all PC World/currys fault by the looks of it...they must have contracted this company MRM (Multi Resource Marketing) to sort this promotion out....looks like they aint gonna use this company again..lol....wonder if this company is liable for this !!!! up? mrm.co.uk0 -

I have just been refused use of my one and only Currys £5 voucher.
I have not received an email or text from Currys.
I was given a customer letter to contact helpme@mrm.co.uk if I thought it should be honoured.
I can't be @rsed to be honest!
I find it hard to believe the obvious spelling mistake in "Clare"'s post.:rotfl:
Did they scan the voucher and then "computer says no" or did they just look at it and say "no you can't use it"?
Thanks0 -

I just had a bizarre dream, the following happened in it:
I just spent 2 more vouchers from initial 4 I got.
Made up BS postal address, made up BS email addresses and made up BS names. The rules have changed now, so you'll have to register the made up BS email address so you can receive emails to it.
They're checking for commonality between addresses, they are not verifying that the addresses exist. So all it takes is a swift yahoo/google/hotmail address reg for each one and you're good to go and you then aren't signing up some poor sod to a life time of junk mail.
We went for 4 2gb mem sticks @ 99p a pop after the voucher discount.
The bloke in currys did staple the receipt to a 'thank you for shopping at currys' leaflet though, which I presume was his dry sense of humour.0 -

I thought the use by date had remained constant?
The promotion date is/has always been until 24th December!
