Just to make people aware, all customers who won prizes which need to be sent via email or to a home address who have used more then one coupon will not get any prizes.

IP addresses are also recorded and checked and if someone is found to be abusing the system then the appropriate authorizes will be notified.

We are now in the process of amending the t&c for the £5 prizes due to people abusing the system, all vouchers will now be sent via email within 7 workings days with the amended t&c once the prizes is verified as genuine.

I have just been refused use of my one and only Currys £5 voucher.
:(

I have not received an email or text from Currys.

I was given a customer letter to contact helpme@mrm.co.uk if I thought it should be honoured.

I can't be @rsed to be honest!

I find it hard to believe the obvious spelling mistake in "Clare"'s post.:rotfl:
• greedy people have ruined what could have been a good promotion.
Will they learn a lesson form it? I doubt it :mad::mad::mad:
• in due coarse?

blimey, you'd think as a major high st company they'd get their spelling right at least!

lol..sorry thats own my spelling mistake...ooops:D
• @ sirmarcus and Kitty Wren,

I take it you were both winners in the recent book giveaway...

"Flirting for dummies" :rotfl:
• On a seperate note...if you really do need to buy something off DSG Retail then can I suggest u look at Dixons website as well, cus when I brought a 32'' LED TV a couple of months back, it was nearly £100 cheaper in Dixons then in currys and pcworld even though their all in the same family company. I've noticed quite alot of stuff cheaper in Dixons then in the other two many times.

and funny thing is, when the tv came it also came with a Currys sales invoice copy too...lol

• I agree with sirmarcus that everyone, who entered the competition online, signed up to the "one per household" rule and as such it was always an implied term of the contract.

However, they did not think this through properly at all, for instance there was nothing stopping people "gifting" vouchers to others and at this point, IMO, the T&C's on the voucher came into play which was originally limited only to one per transaction.

I don't know why anyone is surprised that they had to crackdown on this offer when they found out about the abuse. Any prudent business would do the same. Technically, they haven't taken anything away from anyone. The offer was only intended to be for one per household (see also Martin's newsletter which made it very clear) and that is what they are enforcing now.

A few things though:

I notice from some of the comments that people were using dummy postal and e-mail addresses, so what happens when a new entrant to this competition finds out his/her address has already been used?

What happens to those who have family members who "live" and work away, but use the same postal address to ensure their mail is safe and being attended to?

What about householders who don't inform other householders that they've already entered the competition?

Hmm..
• I got all excited when I heard this offer, So I went into PC World at the weekend took 2 cataloges/vouchers put them both with different addresses one for myself and one for a family member and both got emailed today saying the same thing on each.....
"Hi

Thanks for entering the Currys and PC World £15million giveaway.

Please remember our terms and conditions only allow one £5 voucher per household.

We’re sorry, but all additional entries received have been invalidated. This includes any £5 vouchers that have not been used to date.

Yours sincerely,
