I tried about 5 of these codes (at random rather than in order) and all were already used so guessing most if not all of these are gone now

on the terms and conditions of the voucher that I have but not used it says "One voucher per transaction" have they now changed this term and condition to one per household and do you think it will still be valid.

Don't understand ? Are you saying that you have 2 vouchers; one says "One voucher per transaction" and the other says "One voucher per household" ?

If so, you should be okay as long as you have not quoted the same postal address in different email addresses as I advised in an earlier post on this forum :

Good point and thanks for reminding me.

I would suggest then PCW have found all the email addresses, which have utilised the same postal address (and maybe same name as well) to get multiple vouchers and they have then sent them the message :

    'Hi

Thanks for entering the Currys and PC World £15million giveaway.

Please remember our terms and conditions only allow one £5 voucher per household.

We’re sorry, but all additional entries received have been invalidated. This includes any £5 vouchers that have not been used to date.

    Yours sincerely,

otherwise I don't see why and how some people have got this message and others haven't. I can't believe that they have just emailed this message randomly; although I know that we are talking about PCW and so nothing would surprise me!

I would still suggest that anyone, who has got this message and still has unused vouchers, to try them at you PCW store and see what happens. It wouldn't surprise me if they have been blacklisted and will be rejected. However, it is still worth a go.:)

If you have quoted the same postal address in multiple email addresses, I am afraid that have you probs at the moment. :)

They have changed the T&C to suit themselves :)

Er no...they have changed the T&Cs to match what you agreed to when you used their website (i.e. One voucher per household rather than one voucher per transaction). It appears that the T&C's on the 'new' vouchers now matches what is on their website.

My earlier posting on this forum indicated this :

right ok. but their lesson was they should have put it in place at teh start lol hope mine arnt invalidated as there is no reason for them to be. when i use them i will let you all know :) x

I am confused. From your earlier post on this forum, I assumed that you were okay. It now appears that you aren't sure ? If so, I think that you need to take the advise of MSE user Broadstone to confirm that you voucher is 100% safe; otherwise you may be disappointed at Xmas.

    Just my advice.....:)

I only have one voucher with "one voucher per transaction" shown on it. I have used one previously both were for same address different emails.

So origionally terms and conditions on web site and on vouchers did not match but that they have now altered the terms of the conditions on the voucher to match what is on their web site. So they have changed the goalposts in their favour to stop multiple transactions.
  • I think PC World/Currys should just cut their losses and cash in all their 'hidden away behind the counter' gift guides in for recycling. Lol. If they are luck they may break even and learn a lesson or two on how to run a promotion. Maybe they should get advice from Debenhams as their promotin didn't have these issues. :j

Mmmm.....PCW have just got their act sorted out now. Their T&Cs are now the same on their website and their vouchers !

Awful promotion and awful company ! I always try to shop in Staples as they have a much better customer-focus. You have my sympathies. :)

I agree with Sally. When I wrote to Debenhams to thank them I had back a very nice PROFESSIONAL reply hoping that I would shop with them again, and guess what I WILL. This week I had a snotty so called department manager ( just out of school with a clip board ) looking down her nose at me when I asked why a product ranged from a shelf ticket price £12.99 in her store was £9.99 in another, that I knew should be £5.99 and yet when after a debate with a SA who was going to reduce it to £5.99 it went through the till at £4.99!!! I notice the product is now at £5.99. So in other words rip the customer off as much as you can. Once I had the same identical product at Currys and PCW next door to each other on a retail park.

Er, no... Even vouchers that were given BEFORE they realised what was going on are now invalid if the same postal address has been used more than once.
