  • Just vouchers won here its all a bit of a gimmick them seem to be upset that people have actually won £5.. I don't know what the difference is today in my local store piles behind the counter I don't think alot of people bother with them.
  • Would expect that someone isn't going to be getting a bonus this Christmas... The way this has been handled it looks like the promotion may get them more bad publicity than good

...which makes them appear even dumber than they did the first time around.

    Oh dear :D

    Hi

I just wanted to ask if I already have some £5 vouchers that are unused are they going to be affected.
I printed them off a while ago.
    Thanks

Quite possibly. I'm not sure how, though.

I am guessing that PCW are limiting one voucher per ip address.

Interesting to see though whether anyone, who has printed off multiple 'old' vouchers and has not yet used them, will get them rejected at their PCW store.:)

But what about people who entered the competition at work, or at a public library?

    Good post on HUKD:
Quiz of the day: How many vouchers are the following people entitled to?

    - 7 students living in a 7 bedroomed house, all paying rent for their own room only
    - A single person who owns 4 houses
    - 200 students living in a hall of residence
    - A couple who rent their spare room out to a lodger
    - A disabled person living alone who can't get out, and their carer who lives elsewhere but is happy to pick up something for them while they spend their own voucher

Obviously a well thought out promotion. lol

    Hi

Thanks for entering the Currys and PC World £15million giveaway.

Please remember our terms and conditions only allow one £5 voucher per household.

We’re sorry, but all additional entries received have been invalidated. This includes any £5 vouchers that have not been used to date.

    Yours sincerely,

    just had this email!

    Mmmm....Just re-read this posting.

Kazire and others that have received this message from PCW, did you use the same email address to get multiple vouchers ? This would explain why some people have received this message and others have not.

If you did, my previous posting is probably incorrect as PCW appear not, at the moment, to be looking to limit the offer to one voucher per ip address. They appear to be limiting it to one per email address.

If my assumption is correct, I would suggest that anyone, who has got this message and still has unused vouchers, to try them at you PCW store and see what happens. It wouldn't surprise me if they have been blacklisted and will be rejected. However, it is still worth a go.:)

Nope! The form wouldn't submit if the same email addy was used more than once.
