You can't use bluetooth to transfer from phone to phone or computer.
You might not like the way messages are received (conversation)and some dont have timestamp, No Flash support and a few other little things...
I bought my iphone two weeks ago and the next day I wanted to return it. I kept it because I realized I can leave without those missing features and because I looked at other handsets (Desire HD too big, Galaxy S didnt excite me, Sony Xperia X10 didnt like the menus/icons) and the iphone suited me better.
The Iphone is a breeze to use, is more entertainment than it is a phone
There is no doubt the iphone can be improved especially after being the most expensive phone out there, you would expect a little bit more. Some people jailbrake their iphones to get more out of it but this is something people shouldnt have to do, it should come out of the box with all the features you need.
Indeed, and it is why I can never fathom the narrowminded 'it is the best ' comments that come about, it's almost as if some owners have some kind of inferiority complex.0 -
Do not get an iphone 4. They are a pile of rubbish. Mine has given me nothing but problems.Live long and prosper0

I have an iphone 3 not a 4 as took it out in May.
Would I get another one??? NO!!!!!!!!!
It just annoys me - can't really put my finger on it - but I definately don't use all the features, I down load free apps for something to do and probably also to make it seem as if I am using it!! lol
I am only using it because I am stuck with it as I renewed my contract in May for 2 years just to get this thing. I only usually go for a yearly contract as I get bored with the phone and like to change them yearly - don't mind paying a bit towards it either.
We are limited over here - don't have orange, Tmobile, talk talk or whoever else you have giving you '000's of minutes and texts for £1 per month lol - I'm on £25pm for 125 talk and 325 texts!0 -
Ultimatly it comes down to what I said a few posts back.
"Question is why do you want it and does whatever phone you get deliver what you want."
The Iphone, Desire, Galaxy all do the same stuff well, they surf the web, check email and can do apps.
Where they differ is how they do it, and some minor feature changes. The Iphone does video calling, Android can transfer files by bluetooth. The iPhone has a far larger app market, but android has a freer market without someone controlling it to the same extent.
You also have to consider that Apple are the only maker that is fixing issues in a reasonable timeframe, all android phones need the OS upgrade to be tweaked by the vendor then the carrier before they are released. Whatever phone you get you *MUST* buy it on the strength of the phone as you get it, never assume there will be an upgrade to a feature in the next release of the OS, it may happen it may not.
At the end of the day what do you want to do? I don't use facetime, and I can email files to my self, so it's not really an issue, so neither video calling or bluetooth transfer are an issue to me but they may be to you.
Where the iPhone scores is it's consistant, an app for iPhone 4 will work on all Iphone 4's an app for Android 2.1 may work on all android phones but may not work well depending on the hardware spec.
The Windows 7 Phones are more like apple design wise, the maker cannot do what they want with interfaces and they are forced to follow microsofts design principles so thats 3 button on the phone front and no more. The vendor cannot alter a lot of the look and feel of the interface. Android is a lot more fragmeted, HTC use Sense, Samsung use TouchWiz, SE use UXP, Dell has Stage all do the same thing all are trying to differtiate themselves in the market.
The consistancy of the interface is what helps drives Apples usability, and thats not yet there with Android. Each makers overlay makes it slightly differet to use, and to me until this goes and they standardise (and lose what makes each phone different) then the android market will remain fragmented.
But agian coming back on topic, it all dependswhat you want to do and if your intended phone can do it.0 -

iPhone4 yes or no?
No, no and thrice no (unless you want a poorly conceived piece of bling, of course, then go for it!).0 -
I have an HTC Desire (not HD).
The OLED display really pushed the balance in the favour of the Desire for me, but unfortunately they changed to S-LCD just before I got mine.
There is a strange arrogance from some iphone users, "have you joined the club?", "oh, have you got an iphone?" that you don't seem to get with owners of other smartphones! This alone puts me off them a bit.0 -

Apple sold 1.7 million of them in the first three days. If there was such a huge set of problems then the sales should have plumeted once the hype blew over..
No doubt the fact Apple stores swap them over almost without question helps sell then phones. Even if you get a fault you get support quickly, which is more than most other vendors.
Bling it may be be it works well. The iphone is without a doubt the most user freindly handset I've owned, in that (as I said before) the sheer consistancy of the UI makes it a pleasure to use. Apple may force design contraints on to the developers before they will allow apps on the Apple store, but it does show.
Compare that to the Windows or Android marketplace, Iphone apps have a consistency between them, Windows and Android apps are however the individual developer though would be best.
Apple also don't market the iphone 3G, 3GS and 4, they market the iPhone, look at any print advertising, they show an iphone with apps on, no where does it refernce the difference, it's all inclusive advertising. Comnpare that to the HTC Desire and the Nexus one. Pretty much the same phone bar minor changes, but both marketed as competitors to each other.
If Windows7 and Android can become more consistant they'll be a challenge, at the moment Windows is not a challenger, and Android needs to sort out all the fragmentation and sell it as an Android phone, not a HTC phone or a SE phone or a xxx phone (you get the picture).0
