Hello all
I haven't looked at the OS daily threads before, but wish I had as if this one is anything to go by they seem to be populated by lovely people and to be a great potential motivation for me to getting on with the sorting, tidying and charity shop-donating that I've been meaning to do for ages!
I will commence operation 'sort my house (and life) out' today by doing a thorough blitz of by bedroom / study and trying to put together a big load of stuff for a local charity shop. Will promise to report on progress later on today, as a motivational aid to ensure I actually do something.
Hope you all have a productive day.
I too am intrigued by cheesy nabs. Most fascinating name for a dish I've heard for ages - even better than the 'lob scows' I discovered in Wales last year!Trying to take control of my home and belongings!0 -
Gorgeous bright day here in the NW.I was awake early as DH was setting off at 6.45 for Birmingham. We didnt get in till one last night after our night out in Manchester so I'm a bit bleary eyed. We'll be up earlier tomorrow as I'm doing a car boot. With DH out all day,it gives me chance to get all the stuff sorted and in the van ready, then we can just be up & off in the morning.I've got stuff in corners all over the house:rotfl: so I'll be really glad to see the back of it.There's usually a woman on who will make you an offer for what you have left,so will probably do that- no point going to the effort of decluttering if you bring it back again.
We really enjoyed our night out in the city,it was very busy.At one point we were walking to another bar and met a mass of people all walking towards us- we hadn't realised they were switching the C'mas lights on- very pretty too.
Tea will be something from the freezer,I'm still trying to get it down.
Anyway, have a good Saturday, hugs & spoons to all in need.x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -

Afternoon all...house to myself this weekend as MrS is off playing Florence Nightengale to his poor sister who's just out of hospital following a back op. Been for a nice long run this morning - was chasing another runner up a hill, got to the top and thought "aha! I'll have her!" I'm not very good at running so managing an overtake is something to be savoured....imagine my surprise as I overtook this other woman and realised that she was twice my age if a day:rotfl:That's me told!
Anyway, lovely squash soup just dished out for lunch - the rest will go in the freezer, and this afternoon I'll do some baking and get the sandwich bread done. I'm also making a treacle tart as a reward for all my hard running work!
have a good day everyone!0 -
