Well, will only keep bubs in it for a small amount of time and the rest of the time will use without the attachment as I've just noticed that there is a viewing window in the hood, so I can still keep an eye. :)

Yay, OH is coming down for the weekend (not like he has a choice, unless he wants to move into the doghouse permanently :D ) so I need to go and start getting the chicken ready. Now I've never roasted a chicken by myself so will definitely have to enlist g-mother's help to make sure it's cooked properly :)

I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

Dusty, silly question but would the insurance company not give you money rather than a voucher? Tell them the item is sentimental value therefore not something you could (or would want to) replace. Might be worth a try...
Failing that I'd look into selling the voucher itself if you can do that - it would be worth more to someone that way as it could go towards something specific that they want...
  • I spent my voucher in 3 goes. It wasn't like a paper voucher - it was a bit like a credit card type thing. So the money that I spent kept coming off as I spent it. Not sure if yours is the same Dusty!?!

Course.. if you'd like a ring there is no harm in that is there?! The way I see it, his money is yours so it's not like you're buying your own ring! Just making sure you get one you like! :D hehehe!

You also have no chance of the insurance people giving you the money for it. I tried my bestest and it was definitely a no go! I personally think they have a deal with these places as my voucher also covered HM Samuel and Ernest Jones. They probably get a percentage of the claim amount back.

Lots of options for you though hun! Boy i'd love a jewellery shop lol! :D

Oh yeah... and I had a year to spend it on mine. It came with the letter that came with the card.

Thanks Ema - The voucher was originally for my jewellery and OH's rolex which was also taken but OH has bought a replacement Rolex so the £700 left on the voucher isn't what it was originally worth - does that make sense?

I think I need to chat with OH as some of the jewellery taken was his too (his dads chavvy gold :))
but he has just said for me to spend the remaining £700 on what I want. I think he is expecting me to buy jewellery with it though. I guess i should involve him in the decision - I do know he is desperate for me to get a new car though so that may swing it. :)

Charlie - that is exactly what we have - a credit card thingy. Valid til July 2012 so no rush to make a decision but obvs I want a new car NOW!

Don't suppose you fancy buying it off me do you? for the reduced price of £699 - ha ha...x:)

I also have printed off a selection of engagement rings from jewellers, that I would like - at a variety of prices. And have even been in the shop trying them on with him - I'm........................still..........................waiting.............................

It would be good if you can find somewhere that sells the pushchair you want and then have a go with it in the shop.
I find so many of them hard to push as I'm quite short and can't always get the angle right to get up kerbs etc..

Good news about OH - re the roast chicken - stick peeled onion or garlic up bot (if you want to be posh) - olive oil or fat and salt and pepper on skin - then cover with foil and cook for about an hour (depending on size) - stick a fork or sharp knife in and if juices are clear it's cooked if juices run red or pink leave in for longer.

Hope you have a good weekend x

Ahhh we make make it with garlic, chicken knorr, lemon, more lemon, some more lemon and olive oil. Grandmother will check it before I take it out of the oven so I don't salmonella anyone :rotfl:

can I have some advice please? I really need to buy some more maternity jeans. I have Mothercare over the bump ones (now minus 2 inches from the bottom, thanks to my scissors ) but they keep slipping down. Im thinking of getting under the bump M&P ones, maybe these ones

    http://www.mamasandpapas.com/product-boyfriend-jeans-denim/s0004975/type-s/?item1=S723B07M6&item2=Please+select...&quantity=1&h_item=S723B07M6&id=s0004975&type=s&add=

but im not sure what their sizes are like. should I just get my usual size, or go bigger?
So far any tops I have bought are all just my normal size, but I dont hink ive had anything from M&P before. Newlook only seem to have 32 and 34 leg online.

I have some M+P jeans (cheapy new ones on ebay :D ). I probably could've done with a size smaller, but they do have elastic in the waist that can be adjusted, so they now fit.

I think I must be a bit rehydrated as I finally went for a wee :o Now trying some crisps as I'm strving, but don't fancy anything much that we have in the house. Fingers crossed they stay put....
