I have read that fleece is ok for putting around them in the day when you are about but not in the night while sleeping. So your fleece ones will still be ok. I have 2 I have been gifted too.
Thanks. I can't believe I could have a baby any time now and there's still so much I don't know.

I just weighed myself and over the course of the pregnancy so far I have gone from 68kg to 60kg :eek::eek: I'm still not eating too well so I might have to mention this to midwife when I see her in a week and a bit. I'm just worried that bubs won't be getting enough food :(

Pixie I was very sick at the beginning of my pregnancy and couldn't stomach food that I normnally would eat and dropped almost 8 kg. I then found that I could eat chicken and gravy so that was all I ate for a few weeks....just try foods out and you will find something that you will be able to eat. you have plenty of reserves that the baby can have at the start anyway and they do say that you really only need increase your food intake in the last trimester by 200calories per day so I really would try not to worry. It is easier said than done though that much I know (I worried I was turning the baby into a chicken lol)

I can't remember who was asking but we booked our antenatal classes after the 20 week scan but could phone the hospital any time after that to book them if we hadn't had time

Hitchins glad you got something done about the tooth hopefully you will be able to sleep tonight. I have stayed up a bit later tonight to see if that helps so am going to take myself off to bed in a few minutes and see if I can get some shut eye tonight

Janinie I think it might have been talking about my bump lol....yours is soooo neat lol....I wake up sometimes and just look down and thinhk dammit I only look fat not preggers lol

Sorry but my brain has now gone to mush and I can't remember anything else lol......bubs is kicking the living daylights out of me so I am going to go and lie down and watch him wriggle for a while

Labour vibes to those in need and hugs to everyone

BTW Coops if you are reading this...no offence but I hope I don't see you tonight lol......only 11 more nights for you then we can get sorted on FB and get a wee scrabble tournament going between us all :P

Night night everyone

The light doesn't work in there so im not having a look! :rotfl:

Awh, thanks hunni!!! :D
Morning ladies..........eurgh I'm so tired...............that is all..........
Ha Ha, now that made me laugh. I have a friend who says "that is all" all the time and I love it!!!

hngry - that is wonderful about the wallpaper. I am having a teary day too which has OH totally bemused. Bubbling at the news is never a good look!!! And that's before I came to work!!!

MI3 - labour vibes for you my dear!!!!

Giz - as a fellow adrenaline junkie, go for it. Was at thorpe park last spring and Loved it!!!!

Iwcus - Oh, sounds promising, good luck!!!

Teenie - I had problems with the MatB1 in that the midwife put in the wrond EDD and getting a replacement took forever. I sent it to our HR dept just last week!!!!

RBG - Huge Hugs hunni. This pregnancy thing is a huge rollercoaster isn't it. What a sweet thing of your OH to do for you. I have days too where I just don't wanna do anything, talk to anyone, be bothered by anything and it's tough. Hope your feeling a bit better this evening..

Sharky - love the comments about your dad, very sweet. Like Madbird, I lost my dad almost 6 years ago and I miss him so very much, especially now. Now where did I put that tissue??

Pixie - why can't they come to you rather than the pregnant woman going to them!!??

Susan - yeah, I wish I was able to do that too but it's amazes me that I work with some folk who are not in any way shape or form well off but they don't shop around. Just buy the first thing they see. Now that, I don't understand.

VB - dental wise your exemption cert should cover you for free dental (with the NHS) for the pregnancy and a year afterwards. My dentist has recommended that perhaps a couple of crowns that need done should be done later in the year, especially as it will be free. He's a good lad!!!

Honeypop - hello and good advice about the packaged clothes!!!

Janine - Oh, you are sooo tiny!!!! :D

RBG - just read your post and no offence taken!!!! I just hope the sleep fairies are good to you and to all those who need it!!!! And yeah, looking forward to finishing :T and getting onto the FB group. No access at work or on my phone so having to just wait!!!

EA - here's hoping it's just a toy whose batteries are running down!!!!!!!!!!!

My MW never got round to telling me about them, so I arranged my own through NCT on the internet. I'd look sooner rather than later as they can fill up quite quickly.

Thanks! Do you have to pay for the NCT ones though, think I read somewhere you do. My OH's sister had her antenatal classes in our local village hall, so would be good if we could do the same. I'll have to have a look. At how many weeks do you normally start going? I thought 28 weeks.

Not sure the link above will work because of facebook security settings (and if it does let me know)! Figured out how to post a pic though so here it is, here is me today at 35 weeks:

Awesome bump, it's tiny! Mine is a bit bigger than that and I am only 25+2 :rotfl: Though, as with yours, it's obviously all baby.

Regarding blankets. I have the Lollipop Lane cream and yellow cot set from Tesco, and that includes a fleece blanket. My Mum says she has bought me one too, and I have another fluffy one I bought in Primark ages ago. On what I have read here, I won't be using them at night. Instead he can have them in his pram/car seat during the day. I have only got one cellular blanket with the set, which looks lovely, so will get a couple more of these. Also got a crocheted blanket that OH's parents got us, I take it this would be OK at night as well?
I am so scared baby will overheat :( I have bought a GroEgg thermometer to use, and will try and keep baby's room cool and use a cellular blanket or a sleeping bag, with a fitted sheet. I have two 2.5 togs and will try and get a 1.0 tog for summer. Then can see what suits us best.
Is it OK for baby to sleep in just a vest with a cellular blanket in middle of summer? And sleep suit with cellular in spring/summer? Arrrgh!!! This is my major worry :(

Oh and Pixie, echo what others have said. During the first 16 or so weeks of my pregnancy I felt so sick all the time, just never fancied anything, so just ate whatever I could stomach. Just keep trying stuff, you'll find something you can manage. I would recommend taking a multivitamin like Pregnacare, then you can be sure baby is getting all vitamins they need. Also, drink plenty of fluids. Dry crackers were my savour in those first weeks, just can't stomach them now :rotfl:
• Not sure if it's been mentioned before or even if it's the best price but the silvercross website has the Ventura carseat free with the 3D at the moment or if you already have the pram the carseat is less than half price.
I have the sleepover classic pram I'm reusing from DD as it's like new the carseat though got a bit beaten up by KLM last time we took it away so I'm toying with getting a new one.

I'm also loving the Halo £200 for the pushchair and carseat sounds good and I love the blue

Had a bit of a strange day so far.

When I got up tonight OH asked when I thought baby might come. I dunno???? Why? His boss wants him to go out to africa for a job. Unknown duration. Or that there might be an offshore job coming up and he might have to go to that mid March!!!!!!
I got all upset as the sudden thought of him not being there for me when I go into labour was terrifying. I was in floods of tears and that's not really me.
I have no close friends locally and no one who could stand in for him if he wasn't there and much as I adore my MIL, who he happily volunteered to step in, I don't want her there with me as I see it as a very personal thing and she would make me nervous/anxious. Her two daughters rely on her heavily but I am older than both and just can't imagine her with me when it should be him. Is that so wrong????
My mother died 10 years ago and the only sibling I have is in London (I'm in Aberdeenshire). So no one from my family could stand in.
I think OH was a bit shocked by my reaction to be honest. I had talked a while ago to him about possibly hiring a doula but he was dead against the idea. Think I might mention it again.
Very emotional tonight and it's driving me a bit mad. Crying at silly things and not good when I am supposed to be working. At least I have slopped off to a quiet part of the office to "catch up on paperwork" away from the rest of the guys.

Oh, off to find a tissue ladies........

Aww bless you hun. I can see why you're so upset, I'd be the same. The MIL is not a suitable replacement for your OH, I can't imagine having my OH's mum at our baby's birth  Then again, I don't think I'd want my Mum there either as she'd be bound to say something to make me paranoid/upset/frustrated/etc :rotfl:

I don't really know what to suggest, but is it possible that your OH can turn this down? It's really not fair of your OH's boss to expect him to go all the way to Africa near your due date. Not as if it's a quick flight is it.

(((hugs))

Wow coops, I'm not surprised you're upset about it... It's not fair of OH's work to put that on him knowing you are pregnant and I can't believe he would even consider going that close to d-day!!!

I'm in bed, can't sleep again... My foot keeps trying to cramp up but I can't get out of bed if it does so i'm trying to stretch my toes out to avoid it...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
