I;m sorry Anni, but :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I'm trying to imagine flopping a b00bie out through a sleeve. And where would your arm go?? :rotfl::o

Oh that's not good. If it makes you feel any better I bought the exact same 5 pack yesterday and paid £2.50 - but mine weren't marked £1 - so yes, complain.

sammy and teenie (although thought teenie would be first to say :p) its like a thin strap/racer back nightie thing so its not a sleeve just a strap but I can pull it forward over my b00b!!! its hard to explain if I get chance ill post a pic - of the top not my b00b ladies!!! :rotfl:

Thanks to everyone for the advice If I bump into the woman Ill mention to her about how loud it is again but I do appreciate that if shes not there then she cant control how noisy the kids have their music.

re the dog - it seems she works part time so when shes around its in with her but when shes out at work she leaves it in the garden - its there the whole day though
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

Depends on the breed of dog as to whether it's ok to be outside. We always had collies who preferred to be out than in. Too hot in the house. We'd try make her plastic bed comfortable by putting in quilts and blankets in. All she did was drag it out of her kennel (in to rain) and go back in to the plastic bed.

Bump is killing me today. Stretchy pains and when bubs moves it aches. Hey ho. It's nothing compared to the continuing rib/under b oob ache.

Congrats to lwcus, not long til baby mummy cuddles.

Ooo, got my stethascope. Save your money! Can't hear heartbeat, it hurts my ears but on the plus side the bubs thinks it's great to kick it whenever you put it on your belly (so maybe not a waste!). Not sure if it likes it and is playing or whether it does it's head in.

Ladies, I need your help, AGAIN!

I have bought flat sheets and fitted sheets for the cot but I am not sure about blankets. They say not to use a quilt or fleece blankets and to use cellular ones. Is this advice relevant do you think? They sell feece blankets for baby so they can't be all that bad?

I bought a cellular blanket for both of mine. I felt better knowing that because I'd had holes in it, they could breathe if they slipped down or pulled it up.
They are very warm but still have good airflow.
I had the odd fleece for the pram and if the baby fell asleep in the rocker chair and I was close by.

I was always worried about the room temperature and if I'd wrapped them up to warm. So I would keep the room pretty cool, then use a sheet and cellular blanket.

  • I am 16 weeks on Monday and I have not heard from my midwife about an appointment that week, which Ive read you are supposed to have one that week. Im hoping she gets in touch soon, I dont want to have to chase for everything, it doesnt make me feel too confident with them!

Re the dog situation. I have 2 dogs, one is usually the naughty one who sometimes poops while we are out, the other is the angel dog. Well the angel dog has turned naughty all of a sudden and has been destroying a door so we have bought a kennel to have them outside when we go out rather than them be inside. We have no other choice, they have never been outside dogs so its all new to them (and cold!) so they whine/cry when outside. I can assure you that even though they cry/whine they are looked after well and are only going to be outside when we have to go out for a few hours and the overlap between me leaving for work and husband returning from work which is an hour. Im hoping it doesnt annoy as our neighbour works a lot. I just hope we dont have this trouble because I love the dogs like they are my babies, we just cant have them destory the house when its only rented. I wouldnt like to think someone phoned RSPCA on me when my dogs are cared for :(

In the early days I had to phone up myself and make appointments because they could only book on the system 1 month in advance...maybe she forgot to mention it to you that it's your responsibility. I would phone either way. Don't feel you are being a pain.

Eeek I have fleece blankets. One was part of a set and another was a gift. I was going to use the gifted one for the pram though.

The RSPCA and good and know when a dog is mistreated. The was a house I went by once which must have had 40+ lumps of poop and dogs in a kennel. Because they had food and somewhere to poop (it was a big drive) the RSPCA were powerless as the dogs were still healthy. They suggested environmental health at the council. Our collie was a yapper when it came to people walking by but that was just instinct to protect the property. We had complaints but unless it's before 7am and after 11pm (which she didn't as it was mainly lunchtime) we didn't get in trouble.

Anyway, back to babies! We have no pets anymore...just cooking a baby instead.

I have read that fleece is ok for putting around them in the day when you are about but not in the night while sleeping. So your fleece ones will still be ok. I have 2 I have been gifted too.
