  • Hey Girls,

I haven't read back, just wanted to let you all know I am still here, seen the Dr today re: sleeping and dealing with the horrid images in my head, nothin for sleep yet, obviuosly avoiding drugs for as long as we have to, Dr thinks I've just started 2weeks later with the grieving process, he is however referring me to the psycholosgist I saw for pnd (which was linked to flashbacks, hallucinations from previous birth) as they have a pre-natal treatment as well, and I would be in the right place if I need drugs!

Health Visitor came too poor man (yes man, how does a man become a h/v, he is lovely, but he will never know what its like to give birth, let alone breast feed), my ds unbeknown to me was poorly, he had been snoozing on the sofa, got up to show h/v his cars and ds threw up all over me and the floor twice!

Anyway, mum goes home tomorrow, so slightly dreading that feeling of being on my own again, but I have to get through this next weekend til mum comes back next weds as she has to go back to work, I have to push through this hard time as otherwise how will I get through this time.

Anyway girls, time to go try and sleep, I think my poor mum isn't used to being up late every night!

  • Huge hugs to you twoflower - you really are doing amazingly well. xxx

2Girls - I have exactly the same panic about Christmas as I was in and out of hospital from 34 weeks with DD and I'll be 34 weeks on Christmas Day!! I've done all my buying and wrapping, just Christmas cards to write :o

If its any comfort, they also told me I was measuring big but my GTT came back within normal range so hopefully so will yours. Little fella is a measuring a couple of weeks ahead though. Look forward to see how big your little bundle actually is on Monday.

EDITED - Here's a bump picture taken today at 28 + 5 - I've just realised how much I look like Mr. Greedy!! :rotfl:

    Bump285003.jpg

thank you Sarahangel - have had 2 other GTT's and both came back as impartial - which means high but not quite gest diabetes - so I am fairly certain it has developed into that now :( (trying to prepare myself!!)

Will let you know what size they think baby is on Monday! was your DD a big one?

Having seen your bump - mine is fairly large!! I was not small to begin with - but it is looking huge! although I am doing supply work in a school at the moment and several people have been surprised when I have mentioned baby being due in Jan!!! 1 even commented that I am neat :rotfl: - think I must just look realllllllly fat!

Told DH last night that I need a few child free hours this weekend to get all the Santa stuff sorted and wrapped - as I say not bothered about other peoples parcels - will sort that later if there is time - but DD's stuff got to be done! Not thought about the cards yet - but will look them out and then if I land in hospital for any length of time - I could do them there!
    DD1 - May 02 8lbs 6oz
    DD2 - June 05 10lbs 6oz

    DD3 - 24th Jan 11 7lbs 9oz

Morning all! Congratulations to Bufger and Hibbi! What a lovely picture!

Well, I have a lie in this morning as MW appointment at 9.20 so going to make myself breakfast in bed.

Hugs twoflower - you seem to be such a strong woman. I'm glad your gp is supportive and organising counselling.

ASHeta - you asked me ages ago about names and I forgot to reply. I'd like a Hindu name which is easy to pronounce and spell. We're thinking of Nikhil, Arun or Kiran at the mOment. Neel and Kamran are also possibilities. What do people think?

    Have a good day all!

Ejecoms - I like Nikhil and Kiran. I have a friend called Nikesh who goes by Nik, which he likes, because it is a name that comes from his family's culture, but can be anglicised enough to not have to tell people over and over how to pronounce it if he doesn't feel like it. I think Neel and Kamran might suffer from endless misspelling, being so close to "British" names, which isn't a reason not to choose them, but it would put me off a little bit.

Twoflower - good to hear your GP is doing a good job for you. Wishing you strength for your alone-time xx

Bufger = Ethan is lovely, thanks for the picture :)
  • Congratulations Bufger..what a beautiful baby!

It's happened in all my pregnancies (apart from this one so far) with DD (which was my 3rd pregnancy) as soon as they started to see a problem I had to go for uterine dopplers every other day to keep an eye on the blood flow and they said if it started to decrease they would take action. I was very lucky to make it to 38 weeks when they decided induce me.
Fingers crossed you will be the same. Have they put you on any treatment?
Thanks Sarahangel, no treatment for me but they told me to give up work and get as much bed rest as poss. Did you have any treatment? My first was taken out 33 weeks as the blood flow actually stopped through the placenta. At what stage of pregnancy did they detect IUGR with you?
    xx

Hope everyone else doing ok. Ethan is beautiful!
Twoflower, hope you get some sleep soon. Hugs xxx
