Congrats Hibbi :-)
Sending labour vibes your way TigtagIf you can think it........it will happen0 -
He he Teenie, that is cruel! Hope it heals ok.
He's away up to A & E the doc said it sounds lie cellulitis (sp?). I'd imagine they will look at it and say oh yes it's infected here are some anit-biotics but tbh honest I'm glad he's getting it looked at tonight it looks really nasty and travelling quite quickly up his leg. His dad has had to take him up as he can't walk on it now, I think he wanted me to go but I'm still chucking up and didn't think the hospital would appreciate it!
Cutterby LOL! Don't lurk for too long!
Welcome back Dipsy"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -

Oooh good thing he has gone in if it is travelling. DH's mate had that and was in over a week with it but that was a bad case as he had left it too long. The sooner they get antibiotics in him the better x x

Hi gang, congrats hibbi and bufger and good luck to any who may need it...
xxx
Haven't read back every page and post, think I'm probably gonna go back to lurking with the odd post from time to time... Just had to share this with you cos it made me laugh!
So, we've just changed doctors, had my first appointment this morning, went something like this... (Copied from my FB status, apologies to anyone who's seen it twice!)
Dr : "so you're 18 weeks pregnant?"
me : "I'll be 19 weeks on Saturday"
Dr : "right... 19 weeks"
I get out to find he's booked me a pregnancy test at reception!!! Door - horse - bolted!!
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Hope everyone's ok xxx
When I was pregnant with DD I went down to A&E (with trapped wind...well I didn't know!) the doctor gave me a pregnancy test....I was 6 months gone. Could've hit him!

CL, not to worry, at least I wore out the toddler, so I might get an extra half hour in bed in the morning - every cloud has it's lining
And they had bags of doughnuts reduced to 20p, so that was worth the trip on its own.0 -
Hi girls - I hardly seem to have a minute just now to post on here!!
Congratulations to everyone who has had their babies - sooo lovely..
I had my 28 week midwife appt yesterday - at 29 weeks - and got the very scary news that I am measuring 34 weeks :eek::eek:. Also had glucose in my urine - so looks like I have got gestational diabetes. They have booked me in for Monday to the hospital to have another GTT and also a growth scan - which in itself is lovely - but also quite frightening - just the speed they have slotted me in. Then I went and googled GD, which I know I should not have done - but now am quite worried - just wonder how much bigger than dates I can get!?!
So have started to panic about santa stuff too - if something happened to me and I got taken into hospital - DH would be useless! Need to get it all sorted and wrapped - don't care about anyone else's gifts - only 2 people that matter are my 2 DD's
Fingers crossed that it is more fluid making me big rather than baby - but will let you know on Monday - Sarahangel - really interesting to hear that your wee man is 3lb at almost 29 weeks, I will be exactly 30 weeks on Monday.DD1 - May 02 8lbs 6oz
DD2 - June 05 10lbs 6oz
DD3 - 24th Jan 11 7lbs 9oz

Congrats Hibbi on the safe arrival of Poppy and you have picked a lovely nameCongrats Hibbi and Bufger!!
Just wondering if anyone had Intrs uterine growth restriction in their first pregnancy? What happened 2nd time round. Just a bit worried, my 1st was born 33weeks due to IUGR, I'm having weekly scans at the mo (29weeks) and there is some restriction in blood flow again. Just wondering how far along in pregnancy people were allowed to go with IUGR.
Thanks x
It's happened in all my pregnancies (apart from this one so far) with DD (which was my 3rd pregnancy) as soon as they started to see a problem I had to go for uterine dopplers every other day to keep an eye on the blood flow and they said if it started to decrease they would take action. I was very lucky to make it to 38 weeks when they decided induce me.
Fingers crossed you will be the same. Have they put you on any treatment?2girlsforme wrote: »So have started to panic about santa stuff too - if something happened to me and I got taken into hospital - DH would be useless! 2Girls - I have exactly the same panic about Christmas as I was in and out of hospital from 34 weeks with DD and I'll be 34 weeks on Christmas Day!! I've done all my buying and wrapping, just Christmas cards to write
If its any comfort, they also told me I was measuring big but my GTT came back within normal range so hopefully so will yours. Little fella is a measuring a couple of weeks ahead though. Look forward to see how big your little bundle actually is on Monday.
EDITED - Here's a bump picture taken today at 28 + 5 - I've just realised how much I look like Mr. Greedy!! :rotfl:Virtual Sealed Pot 2013 #41 - £69.27OJ born 25/01/110 -
Chakani the main reason I didn't find out the sex of the baby is that I can't stop buying baby stuff and I know I will get lots of outfits from friends and family as presents, so would end up with loads of clothes never worn. If I knew the flavour I'd probably have bought dozens of outfits by now. I have about 20 neutral coloured sleepsuits to start me off.
I have £15 Clubcard vouchers to double up and will use them to get a few girl or boy outfits next week when Peanut arrives.
Why do I think the Big Exchange doubling up for Mother and Baby needs to be spent by early Dec? Yeah, just checked mine and it was 5/12/2010 so don't be holding on later than this.
Hibbi, congrats and lovely name especially on 11.11.10. She'll always know she's special. You should try and buy a Buckley Poppy for her to give when she's older. You can get them at cost price of £9.99 on poppyshop.org
Well, I picked up my 2nd Bounty pack from our new Sainsburys. Clothing section is a bit pants in there despite the shop being massive. I did head for the wipes and get a stack including johnsons bedtime bath, some infracol and some teething gel. Use by date is a long time away 2013 so should be all gone by then. Might go back for some more stuff at the weekend.
Nanight bumps x0 -
