ohh yes pleasy, don't want her to drag her 2 yr old in the cold to the drs if she doesn't have to.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Fingers crossed it speeds up for you Tigtag. Are you planning on having an epidural? Sorry if that's nosy, but I got a date for induction today and am wondering how it works.0

chickywiggle she could try ringing the hospital and asking to speak to a community midwife, but the normal thing is go through the GP. If the GP is carp maybe she could ask to see another? That's what she says!!Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

chickywiggle, this is the info for the direct to midwife service in the northwest, might be worth giving them a ring to see if they have a service in swindon, might even be the same number

evening ladies,
Tigtag - hope things get moving soon for you.
Made the hour long drive home from work, having terrible tightening's all the way, so have got home and got straight in my pj's, im so sloppy.
A bit of advice please, i was 38 GG before getting pregnant and boobs are starting to grow even more, does anyone know of any non wired bras which would give me great support, ive not worn a non-wired bra since i was 13 but the wired ones are just too painful at the moment.

@tigtag - sorry the induction didn't do anything. Hope something has changed since you last posted.
Well I went to sainsburys and somehow managed to spend £20. How does it happen?
My sainsburys is tiny, but the only thing they didn't have that I wanted was the maternity towels. Not worth going to the bigger store just for those though.
Looked at clothes, but yet again not happy with the unisex ones. The boy and girl ones are great. I really might as well just get some cheap plain white ones for the first week.
Still got a £5 gift voucher for M&P. Everything is so pricey in there. Might have a nose this weekend. I suppose I could get my maternity pads and maybe a teether or something with it. They must have something close to £5!Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -
Okay, I'd planned to do the hospital and baby bags next week when I start ML, then someone yesterday (forget who, sorry) mentioned quite casually that at this point in pg "anything could happen"...
So (:p I know, another paranoid first timer worry), when we go to Paris for the weekend on 27th, should I pack some emergency supplies with me just in case, or is that just ridiculous? Travel insurance people have made it clear that barring complications they would could it as normal labour and not cover any time in hospital/cancellations/etc. That wouldn't bother me except for the mention of "normal" at 32 weeks...
Feel free to tell me I'm being neurotic ladies...
Having worked for the emergency number for travel insurance.... make sure you have a european health insurance card as that will cover most costs if anything were to happen. Also it may be worth checking with your transport if your tickets are flexible. But that is only if you want to make sure you cover yourself.
@ticklepenny - I already have cotbed blankets, but won't they be too big for a moses basket? Would need folding too many times, no?
I tucked most of the excess under the mattress and just left enough out to cover DD if that makes any sense.

Hi Giz, I was just looking on m+p website cos I still have my £5 voucher too. there's 3 for 2 on the bedding at the mo, 2 x pram sheets, 2 x cot bed sheets, 2 x moses basket sheets, for £32 but £27 with thw voucher, cheaper than mothercare.
May be of some use
