I'm sure you know Nic, with depression, the sufferer (not really an accurate word, as the whole family suffers) is usually the last to realise that there's a problem or relapse.
I do know how difficult it is to live with someone who suffers with depression, and how difficult it is to hold everything together and protect the children as much as possible, you have lots of sympathy from me, and as many hugs as can reach you round our bumps :grouphug:0 -
Morning Ladies - has anybody been suffering back pain this early in pregnancy? It seems like everytime I stand up from sitting or laying down my back is all twisted and I can't stand properly - Im hoping it's not pregnancy related and maybe due to be cleaning too much over the weekend!
Ice how many weeks are you having your gender scan? Your 3d pic looks really good, we were going to book one for 16 weeks but I want a decent quality pic so don't mind waiting a little bit longer.:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -
Morning ladies
Apricot - my back is awful. I'm 25 weeks this week and going from sitting/lying down to getting up is beyond painful now. It kind of first feels like my back won't hold my weight. Once i'm up and about it eases a bit but we all know how often we need to get up to go the the loo or get drinks and i'm really suffering. Don't put much stock in physio so I think it's gonna be a long final 15 weeks here!
Nic - sorry to hear about your troubles hun. Big hugs.
Fantafan - YAY for viability! It's a relief isn't it?!
Dusty (I think!) - what a lovely bathroom! Very powwwsh!
Other than that i'm generally in a just can't be bothered mood lately. I can't be bothered to do anything, discuss anything with anyone, argue with anyone (shocker I know!) or anything. Been getting very down lately which i've attributed to hormones and am just trying to get on with it without affecting anyone else. I'll probably burst and it'll all come out at some point but for now.. I just want to be left alone. I don't know if that makes any sense but that's pretty much where I am
Congrats Lilian and MV on the births of your lovely babies. Would love to see pics when you canBeautiful Baby Boy born 28 April 20110 -
Hi Ladies and Bumps,
Congrats MV and Lillian!!
Just to let you know that I am still here. Due date was Sat 15th Jan and after feeling crampy end of last week and thinking something was going to happen - still nothing yet!!
Went for a long walk yesterday and had a curry but I am thinking baby is liking it too much inside to come out!!
Due to see the midwife tomorrow who is going to try and do a sweep which I am not looking forward to.
Other attempts - Might get a pineapple today. Don't really feel like doing the deed!!
Any other useful eviction tips would be great!!0 -
Hopefully the sweep will get things going, it worked for my friend. She had a show about 2 hours after sweep then waters broke the next morning. Not pleasant but if gets little bubs out.Just been reading about that poor woman in a coma who doesnt even know shes a mum yet,her little baby is gorgeous. Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

Oh dear, remember I told you last week that I had my Union rep send an email to my bosses about thier decision not to grant me a pay rise in line with the extra responsibilities I've taken on, well my line manager has just told me that ‘the organisation’ are raising my situation as a formal grievance following that email the union sent he also said he is personally unhappy at the wording I/the union used in the email.
Well I started crying – like a pathetic hormonal pregnant thing!
I don’t want to be labelled a trouble causer – I think I’m best to just drop the whole thing. What does a formal grievance mean anyway? will it go on my CV? Will I get a rubbish reference now if I try and get a new job? – god I don’t need this stress…!
I’m trying really hard to keep it together sat at my desk here.0 -
hi lady bumps......
not in good form at all and have read back and have now forgotten near enough every single thing I read so I am really not being rude when I don't make comments on anything discussed today but I am sorry.....but I do remember that Fanta is that awful word of viable.....yay for being at the point where they now class your baby as a baby!!!!!! and Charlie I am with you on the not being bothered front especially today....will probably lurk today but am here and in FB doing carp all lol
someone did ask about maternity leave and how long you are on it....I am taking 6.5 weeks and I am probably going to waste today but have had a kind off productive weekend so don't mind as long as hubby gets fed tonight and I actually manage to get out of my jammies (which I am still in as I type lol) I don't think I could have been in work any longer due to the insomnia I am suffering from (I hope that you aren't affected) and from the pain in my lower back......
went back to bed and slept for a little while before my frickin mobile went off with a call from a number I don't know and so don't answer but have googled it now and have found its a telemarketing company....don't want to turn my mobile off as dad is in hospital so don't want to miss any calls regarding him
Hugs to everyone

Congrats MV, glad you're both ok.
Apricot - my back has been killing me too. Felt daft that it was happening so early on, but any sort of bending over or if I don't sit just right starts it off
My bump appears to have shrunk today, maybe they've shifted further back? Or I'm just imagining things...
Feeling like I'm coming down with something. Been out of sorts all weekend and was all shivery this morning.
Bladder keeps waking me up every night and I have trouble dropping off after. It's really painful when I wake up, should I be worried? The midwife last week did a dip test on my sample and said it was fine, that should have picked up if there was an infection right?
I'm another ANTM fan! Last cycle was a bit meh but enjoying this one so far - makeovers tonight yay! :T0 -

Hugs Dusty. I would have a word with the boss in private and explain that that was not what you wanted you were just wanting to make sure that you got what you deserved. As for affecting a reference....the reference is about how you do your job and if they put anything into it about you being a trouble maker etc that can then lead to you taking them to tribunal so I doubt they will do anything as daft......if they aren't careful they could end up loosing you to stress before your maternity leave starts and I would state this to the boss and to the union rep.... Did the union rep show you the correspondence before they sent it off????
Edited to add a grievance will go into your work records that HR keep but will not go down on your employment record xxxxxThe pod landed and produced baby Timothy on 10th March 20110 -
