    - What a lovely gift from your husband's work, I bet that will come in handy :)

Still working from home, although there's very little to do, plus I can't actually log in remotely so it's all feeling a bit silly at the moment! Although I have also been having to wait in all week for Next to deliver a desk, so I don't mind too much, would be really annoyed if I could have been out and about!

Yes it was a lovely surprise - he knew they were collecting for him but obviously he only thought he'd get 30 quid I said we'll pop in to say thank you after the baby is born (they had put both mine and my lo's name on the gift card as well even though ive never met them -so sweet (uh oh tears are coming lol)
I think we are going to save it and then use it for birthday/christmas presents throughout the year because we will not have much money ocming in now so very handy indeed!

oooo a new desk how exciting :D Im currently on a desk being held together with selotape lol

ooo due march another bump doing a driving test sure you will pass :)

Well I had an awful nights sleep last night had like three nightmares - I dont know if because I was reading about it on here that it happened but my word they were awful had to get oh to walk to bathroom with me coz I was too freaked out.

Got to do a bit of shopping today -

*get a new printer after ours broke yesterday  And we both need it today typical.
*see if they've got the half price breast pumps in boots

Also got our steraliser set coming today so excited we went for this one in the end after trawling through 6 different sites with different offers and sets. This had all the stuff we were looking for.

Hope all ladies and bumps are ok - Im having terrible braxton hicks this morn hoping a walk round the shops will calm them.

labour vibes to those in need x
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

Morning ladies, well I have just sent my mat leave form off to HR.

Last working day will be 18th March then Mat leave starts on the 21st.

I am carrying 5 days annual leave over to 2011/2012 and after RBG's gem of an idea yesterday, from the 16th Feb I will be taking every wednesday off. I am really struggling to doa full week now and by 4pm I am desperate to get out.

Feel so relieved it is all sorted now. I have a feeling that bubs will be early so starting my mat leave straight away will cover any early appearance. Just pray I don't go over too much and end up sat around for a month bored!:rotfl:

re: dreams - had a very erotic dream about Eminem last night :o. I don't find him in the least bit attractive, but we were on a boat and let's just say the boat was rocking......in still waters ;)
  • Morning all.

Still no signs of anything happening yet, but I've found my mobility has really gone down hill.

Went to meet my friend from my yoga class for coffee yesterday, and what is normally a 10 minute walk down to the high street was a horrendous ordeal.

By the time I got there my bump was really hurting and I felt like I was going to be sick :(

I'm meant to be meeting my NCT ladies for lunch today and meeting no 3 baby (no 4 arrived day before yesterday too!), but I'm not going to go. Was up from 3.30am this morning aching and worrying about everything..reading my book about the stages of labour etc..

Feeling pretty exhausted so am just going to chill out and snooze when I want.

Wish you could tell definitively when these babies were going to put in an appearance!

  • ..on the plus side, have just had a letter from HMRC, and am getting a small tax rebate! :T

Don't know about anyone else but my heart usually stops beating momentarily when a letter from the Tax Office arrives

Nice to be getting something back rather than a demand for underpaid tax!

OH had one late last year too...talk about timely! :D

Good news MV - if I was you I'd squirrel it away and use it for a little pamper session in a few weeks as I'm sure you'll need the rest by then ;)

Great news about the tax letter MV - I;ve been hoping for one of those but no luck yet! You sound very uncomfortable so rest up.

I'm bouncing on my swiss ball trying to get baby to move down as am full term tomorrow and would love him to be early! But given my conversation with Giz earlier it doesn't even seem like his head is engaged at all yet so I might have a way to go :(

Still no desk from Next - I don't understand what's going on, every day I track it and it says "Out for Delivery" but then it changes to "Courier Recieved" and then "Carried Forward" - it's as if it's going out on the lorry every day but not actually being put on the delivery list so it never gets to me!

  • Morning ladies. hope you are all ok. I am waiting for my landlord coming to house today to hopefully fix my hot water, my back is killing me now so I am hoping that he can fix it and I can have a long soak in a bath this afternoon. Really tired today although had a half decent nights sleep, getting bored of maternity leave now, kinda of wish that I had stayed on at work a little bit longer, but dont think I would have physically been able to do my job tho.lol. Hopefully Mr Shark gets a good wage tomorrow and I am able to go and get the paint for the nursery and that will keep me busy, getting really nervous that I havent sorted anything out for the babies room yet, but we have had so much to pay out in the past couple of weeks due to him being in hospital and not working - on the plus side it looks like we may be able to claim his medical expenses back through his insurance, so that will be a nice wee bonus for when bubs is born.

Congrats MV on your tax rebate - wish I could get a bit of your luck. :)

Morning all, I'm here, just lurking as I'm having a serious baby panic at the moment!

Realistically I have about 3 weeks left as I will be induced before my due date. It just seems so close but so far away at the same time. I just don't feel ready, everytime I think about it I get into a total flap and I can't even go into his room at the moment or bring myself to buy anything else for him or even look at the clothes in the shops. I can't remember being like this when I was having DD. I feel like I'm in total denial about his impending arrival and I keep telling myself I'm not THAT pregnant, I have ages yet!!!
Other folks are more excited than I am, I've already had a text from a work collegue today to ask if I have had him!

Sorry, I'm sure it's just natural to feel like this but I'm getting really anxious and panicy!

Oh and I have another cold, 4th one since the end of November but I'm really glad I had the flu jab as according to the Daily Mail there are 18 patients currently in my local hospital suffering with swine flu and my SIL has flu too, not sure what strain though but she is really poorly.

Glad you are feeling better Sharkey

lwcus - how did you get on yesterday?

Duemarch - I packed my bags at 28 weeks although I have unpacked and packed them again since and actually you have reminded me that I must pack DD a case for when she stops with her grandparents when I go in!

little_princess - congratulations on the early but safe arrival of baby Eloise. She is simply gorgeous!

Welcome to BCS - doesn't seem like 5 minutes since I joined this thread and now getting close to the top

Another gem from my DD, she heard me come up the stairs for a bath, she supposed to be asleep at this time but as I passed her room I heard her say -
"Mum, if you are going in the bath be careful how you get in and out as it's really slippy"
I am really starting to question who the parent is at the moment!

Labour vibes to those who need/want them and hugs to everybody else!!
