Thanks Teenie and galvanizersbaby.
Have felt her a bit more now, but ugh, the worry. GB I think it's because I was in bed last week and more or less lying down that I felt her so much, tried it again and did feel more.
I'm really tired now too which is probably not helping. My dad came down today to put a blind up for us (it's been waiting a year :rotfl:) and I managed to get some things done and stuff sorted, but forgot how quickly I get tired out. Dinner soon then off to bed to watch tv!
Annibee, I would have been fuming if I were you, no wonder you were hurt and how lovely of OH's work.
EA, you're too organised!
We're waiting for some money to come through, so until then I'm trying to figure out what we need to buy and what we want so that when we do get it, everything is sorted and ready to buy... Well that's the theory anyway! And my mum keeps buying us stuff lol. And on a plus note, found out we should get a mortgage holiday without a problem, which is good. Mummy to an amazing little girl0 -

ah the recession has hit us all severely (sp) :rotfl::rotfl:I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

Not been on a while ladies as had flu. Seem to be on the mend now though. Had some bloody stupid questions asked of me recently which has prompted me to post this on my FB...
I WANT THIS ON A T-SHIRT:- Yes i’m pregnant. I’m not fat. I was fat before. Now I have an excuse to stuff that cake down my throat and blame my growing bump on water retention. Please deal with it. I don’t care what your thoughts are. Keep them to yourself. Ta.
- Am I sure i'm not having twins? WHAT? I've had 2 scans so far that says i'm not. But if you think you know better then please go right on ahead. For more information for how much I care for your opinion on my weight gain, please see point 1. I have been polite. Enjoy it, it doesn't happen often.
- Was it planned? !!!!!! kind of question is that?! Well, no actually I was busy swinging at the time and you know, accidents happen. Who knows who the dad is, it was a busy weekend. However, we’re dealing with it so i’m pretty sure you can too. *I do not have enough rolley eyed smilies to insert here*
- They think it’s a boy. No really, they can’t be sure. I’m not keeping information from you. I’ll know more on the day. Trust me, you won’t be the first to know.
- Are you happy it's a boy? Now look here - I was hoping that it was going to be some hermaphrodite Alien being but unfortunately the gods (those in space) were against me so I had to settle for a boy. DON'T BE SO FRIKKEN STUPID! Any baby (healthy is a plus mind) and i'm over the moon!
- I’m due in early May. The official estimated due date is 3rd May 2011. Can I be certain of what date? Errr well no actually not yet. It’ll likely be late April though considering I have been booked in for a planned C Section. When will I know exactly? I don’t know that yet either. However... please see point 3 for where you stand on the line of people to know first.
- Yes a planned C Section. I’m not too posh to push. I have medical conditions which mean I HAVE to have a C Section. Believe me, it’s not a cop out. I’d rather rip my private parts open silly than have to endure the lengthy process of having to recover from a C Section again. I’m sure that information won’t stop your eyes rolling into the sky at another fapless mother who ‘chooses’ to take the ‘easy way out’. Note the sarcasm. I have lots of it.
- How do I feel? Hmmm let me think about this one. My back aches from said water retention (no, really it is water retention. Not that extra jaffa cake I scoffed), I’m tired all the time, I’m hungry all the time, i’m actually thirsty all the time which leads me to going to the loo all the time. I can’t sleep right through anymore and i’m beginning to forget what my toes look like. Baby is enjoying using my insides as a circus arena and kicking the crap out of me at every available opportunity. But apart from that I generally just feel like I want to RIP SOMEONE’S SODDING HEAD OFF AND BEAT IT TO A BLOODY PULP. Does that answer your questions?
Me, hormonal? Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!Beautiful Baby Boy born 28 April 20110 -
Well after sitting all afternoon, I have decided to buy separate furniture for the babies room - wardrobe and chest of drawers from Ikea (my dad is going to put another hanging rail as well so will have more storage space
) and then this http://www.mothercare.com/dp/B001NX8YDI/ref=reg_hu-wl_item-added/279-7831816-2154533?_encoding=UTF8&mcb=core cot bed from mothercare. DH gets paid on Friday so I am going to toddle off to B&Q and get paint and get the room all decorated so I can then wait for my new furniture to arrive - very excited Sharkeybabe here

Has anyone heard of Lazy Daisy birthing classes? There is one up and running 5 mins down the road from me. I;ve spoken to the girl and she seems really nice and the website is informative, just wanted to ask opinions on it though?
There is a lack of NHS classes up by me and I cannot afford the PCT ones but I definitel want to do something similar x
Has anyone been having nightmares in their pregnancy? I've had them of late and they are getting more scary x:j:jOur gorgeous baby boy born 2nd May 2011 - 12 days overdue!!:j:j0 -

I had my appt yesterday, midwife didn't mention anything about how engaged he was and I forgot to ask, booooo. I can feel my libido coming back as well, think hubby will be lucky this weekend - well I did tell him come 37 weeks I'll be pouncing - we're the same as you, haven't DTD since conception, I've been too concerned something will go wrong (plus have been exhausted!)
I couldn't nap earlier. It's just too hard. I even turned the telly off, but couldn't doze off. Think I'll go for an early night in a bit.
vroombroom - I've had nightmares. Nothing to do with babies though, just horror film like nightmares.
annibee - that is such a generous amount. I remember you saying about your work not getting you anything. Our company is a bit rubbish for things like that. People who worked for years get a £20 gift when they leave - I know things are tight for people, but the amount given and taking into account what I've given in the past means that half the people don't even contribute or everyone gives 20p! I know I should be more understanding but it p*sses me off because they can all afford to buy pub lunches nearly everyday.Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -
